The woman, who has not been identified, sat motionlessly on board a stationary F train at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway station in Brooklyn at about 7:30 am (12:30 GMT) on Sunday when a man calmly approached her and used a lighter to set her clothes on fire, the New York Police Department said. A suspect identified by police as Sebastian Zapeta was taken into custody hours after the woman died on Sunday morning.
Transit police apprehended the suspect after receiving a report from three high school students who had recognized the man. They had seen images of the suspect taken from surveillance and police body cam video and widely distributed by police. The man got off the car as police officers on patrol in the station rushed to the blaze.
“New Yorkers came through again,” said New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, who described the case as “one of the most depraved crimes one person could possibly commit against another human being”. The officers used fire extinguishers to put out the fire and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders, police said.
They added there was no interaction before the attack and they did not believe the two people knew each other.

A drone weighing over half a pound crashed on Sunday night authorities released a statement regarding the crash. "At approximately 0730 on Sunday, December 15th, Airport Operations staff recovered a drone from the airfield. The drone was discovered on an area of pavement reserved for the safe operation of the aircraft. The discovery was immediately reported to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transportation Security Administration."
The statement further assured that "flights were not impacted, and there were no reported threats to the aircraft." The drone that was discovered from the airport site was described as a small multi-rotor drone weighing under one pound.
Just days ago in Massachusetts chief of police said residents spotted 10-15 drones above a house and The chief of police in Harwich, Massachusetts. According to a release from Harwich Chief of Police Kevin Considine, a resident called police to report "unknown drone activity over her house" on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 9 p.m. "The resident could not hear the drones but stated they were very bright, and she observed them for over an hour," Considine said. The local's report was corroborated by a Harwich officer who spotted similar drone activity while on patrol. "We have forwarded all the information we have received to the Boston FBI and the Massachusetts State Police," he said. "We will continue to work with our state and federal partners."

Finally the Georgia appeals court booted Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s (D) office from the 2020 election interference case against President-elect Trump on Thursday due to her relationship with a top prosecutor on the case. Something which should have never been brought to court to start with but now it's just another witch haunt on Trump which went nowhere but only was done to try and hurt the election of Trump which ended up as a major fail in every way.
The panel described Willis’s relationship with ex-special prosecutor Nathan Wade as a “significant appearance of impropriety.” The court declined to outright dismiss Trump’s indictment, but disqualifying Willis’s office throws the future of the case already complicated by Trump’s impending return to the White House further into doubt. Folks in other words this case is DEAD like Fani Willis political career, and she needs to have her Barr license evoked.
“After carefully considering the trial court’s findings in its order, we conclude that it erred by failing to disqualify DA Willis and her office,” Judge E. Trenton Brown III wrote in the court’s ruling. “The remedy crafted by the trial court to prevent an ongoing appearance of impropriety did nothing to address the appearance of impropriety that existed at times when DA Willis was exercising her broad pretrial discretion about who to prosecute and what charges to bring,” it continued. The decision leaves open a theoretical possibility another prosecutor could take over the case, but the path forward remains precarious. Trump’s legal team has separately sought to dismiss all his criminal prosecutions on the grounds that he is the president-elect.
“As the Court rightfully noted, only the remedy of disqualification will suffice to restore public confidence,” Trump attorney Steve Sadow said in a statement. “This decision puts an end to a politically motivated persecution of the next President of the United States.” The Hill has requested comment from Willis’s office. Defense attorney Ashleigh Merchant, who represents one of Trump’s co-defendants and brought the initial claim against Willis and Wade, said she and her client are “thankful” the court agreed Willis should not be allowed to prosecute the case any further. Willis charged Trump and more than a dozen of his allies last summer for allegedly entering a months-long unlawful conspiracy to overturn President Biden’s 2020 victory in Georgia.

Even where there is an appearance of impropriety.” Willis could appeal the ruling to the state’s Supreme Court. But if that effort fails, the case against Trump and his allies will be handed over to the Prosecuting Attorneys Council of Georgia. According to the Justice Department's executive grant of clemency, it was granted by Biden to Jin on November 22. At least three Americans who had been detained in China were released and sent back home.
"We are pleased to announce the release of Mark Swidan, Kai Li, and John Leung from detention in the People's Republic of China," a National Security Council spokesperson told several news outlets in a statement in late November. Jin was a doctoral student at Southern Methodist University when he was arrested in 2021 and later sentenced to 97 months (or just over eight years) in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography before a U.S. magistrate judge in July 2022, according to court documents. His sentencing also required him to pay $30,500 in restitution and $100 in assessment.
Jin has family connections to China's Communist Party, according to reports. Biden's clemency grant for Jin says he must leave and "remain outside the limits of the United States." Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene re-shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) with information about Jin, along with a segment from a 60 Minutes interview Leslie Stahl did with her in April 2023. Others are advocating for Mr. Biden to commute the sentences of federal death row prisoners. His attorney general, Merrick Garland, paused federal executions. Biden had said on the campaign trail in 2020 that he wanted to end the death penalty but he never did, and now, with Trump coming back into office, it's likely executions will resume. During his first term, Trump presided over an unprecedented number of federal executions, carried out during the height of the pandemic.
While TRUMP is some how being blamed for this the record number was reached because the house holding Democrats ordered them. Trump had nothing to do with it as this is a "state" issue mostly, and it's been like this for a long time.
For those who don't know how this works. The method of execution for federal prisoners is determined by the state where the conviction took place. If the state doesn't have the death penalty, the judge chooses a state that does if it's determined this person deserves the "death penalty" ... Where again it's not issued in said state. Remember it's the state-sanctioned punishment of executing an individual for a specific crime.

So looks like good old Google posted this past Monday that Willow, its latest quantum computing chip had come to tell us something utterly mind boggling! Well not to all but this thing is going at such speed and reliability in it's performance that now the claims by Google are indeed newsworthy in themselves, but what really caught the tech industry's attention was an even wilder claim tucked into the blog post about the chip.
Google Quantum AI founder Hartmut Neven wrote in his blog post that this chip was so mind-boggling fast that it must have borrowed computational power from other universes. Ergo the chip's performance indicates that parallel universes exist and "we live in a multiverse." Willow’s performance on this benchmark is astonishing: It performed a computation in under five minutes that would take one of today’s fastest supercomputers 1025 or 10 septillion years. If you want to write it out, it’s 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years. This mind-boggling number exceeds known timescales in physics and vastly exceeds the age of the universe.
This lends credence to the idea that quantum computation occurs in many parallel universes, in line with the idea that we live in a multiverse, a prediction first made by David Deutsch. This drop-the-mic moment on the nature of reality was met with skepticism by some, but, surprisingly, others on the internet who profess to understand these things argued that Nevan's conclusions were more than plausible.
The multiverse, while stuff of science fiction, is also an area of serious study by the founders of quantum physics. The skeptics, however, point out that the performance claims are based on the benchmark that Google itself created some years ago to measure quantum performance. But looks like the tide is turning as a Fulton County Superior Court has issued a default judgment against District Attorney Fani Willis for refusing to turn over records that could document her collusion with the J6 committee and Special Counsel Jack Smith.
The court order states: "By finding the Defendant in default, the Court has effectively declared that she violated the ORA [Open Records Act]. The Court further ORDERS the Defendant to conduct a thorough search of her records for responsive materials within five business days of this Order's entry."
"Within the same five-day period, the Defendant is ORDERED to provide the Plaintiff with copies of all responsive records that are not legally exempt or excepted from disclosure. If the Defendant must or chooses to withhold any portion of a requested record, she is instructed to adhere to the procedures outlined in the ORA." However, the Fulton County D.A. claims that such records don't exist, potentially putting her at legal risk of perjury and obstruction of justice.
The court makes it clear that it has substantive reason to believe Willis is withholding records: "Defendant is further ORDERED to provide an explanation why such correspondence does not exist in Defendant’s records (or why it is being withheld)."
However, if Willis does turn over the records, it could provide proof of a criminal conspiracy. Oh, the irony.

Looks like Billionaire Elon Musk has recently alleged that rapper Eminem attended the party thrown by music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, who was indicted finally in 2024 after months of investigations and so now they got him on three criminal counts that allege he sexually abused women and coerced them into drug-fueled sex parties using threats and violence.
So Musk's allegations came days after Eminem introduced former US president Barack Obama at a major Kamala Harris campaign event in Detroit. Musk has endorsed Harris' Republican rival Donald Trump in the November 5 US presidential elections which we all know how this turned out as Trump won. But this story on Elon saying this had just now become something we saw here at PSNews. So thought it was still information which was both funny and possible.

Some people are running for cover. We haven't heard all of these names… You think Obama had anything to do with any of these parties that he had?" Suge responded, "Absolutely.. You got presidents. You got preachers. T.D. Jakes is one of the biggest black preachers around that everybody loves." Diddy and Suge have known each other for decades. According to a July 2024 People Magazine report, nearly thirty years ago, on September 7, 1996, rapper Tupac Shakur was riding in the passenger seat of a black BMW driven by Knight, then head of Death Row Records. A drive-by shooting occurred as they were leaving an event.
Tupac was critically injured and died after six days in the hospital. Knight was also injured but survived. In August 2023, prosecutors alleged that Duane "Keefe D" Davis, a suspect in Tupac’s murder, was the gang leader who organized the killing. As reported by Fox 5 Vegas in July 2024, Davis claimed that Diddy had allegedly asked him to kill both Knight and Shakur. During the podcast interview, Knight also discussed Diddy’s parties, alleging that attendees included Usher, former President Obama, and T.D. Jakes.
He also touched on Epstein, the convicted sex offender who died by suicide in custody in 2019. Michael Franzese, who mentioned having spent seven months under high security on the same tier as Epstein, noted that committing suicide under such conditions seemed unlikely, and Knight agreed. The interviewer then questioned what fate might await Combs, given the involvement of high-profile individuals. Franzese speculated that, with so many notable people implicated, a cover-up could be attempted, but the extensive attention on the case might prevent that from happening.
