Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., is reportedly the subject of an open federal investigation following a now very well known viral video in which she and several other lawmakers encouraged service members to "refuse illegal orders." The senator told The New York Times that she discovered the probe was launched by U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro's office. Now The Times reported that Jeanine Pirro's office sent an email to the Senate’s sergeant-at-arms requesting an interview with Slotkin or her private counsel.
Elissa Slotkin reportedly described the probe to the Times as an effort by an authoritarian president to use the federal government as a tool of intimidation. "Facts matter little, but the threat matters quite a bit," Slotkin told the Times. "The threat of legal action; the threat to your family; the threat to your staff; the threat to you." Which laughable because when asked what Illegal things has "Trump" asked done, and she couldn't come up with 1 single order. So why bother making the video if nothing has been said to soldiers that is illegal?

All the Democrats who participated in the video, which was slammed as a call to defy Trump and his Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, had military and intelligence backgrounds.
Trump slammed the video and said in multiple Truth Social posts that the lawmakers who participated in it had engaged in "seditious behavior." "It’s called SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. Each one of these traitors to our Country should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL. Their words cannot be allowed to stand We won’t have a Country anymore!!! An example MUST BE SET," the president wrote on Nov. 20.
The same day, Trump wrote in a separate Truth Social post, "SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!" The statement caused an uproar with many slamming what they perceived to be a threat from the president. The video was released amid a nationwide debate about Trump's deployment of the National Guard to various cities across the country.

Juan Melgar-Ayala, an illegal alien from El Salvador, shot a 61-year-old American man in the chest. Police engaged in a shootout at a grocery store and neutralized the suspect, but four brave officers were injured in the process. The victim is currently fighting for his life in critical condition.
Here is the kicker: Melgar-Ayala had a PRIOR criminal history, including felony burglary charges in 2021. Why was this criminal allowed to remain in our country? THIS is exactly the kind of person the Democrats are fighting to protect while our citizens suffer. The Omaha Police Department’s (OPD) Officer-Involved Investigations Team has released the names of the officers injured, the suspect, and the victim. According to a release from the OPD, the suspect, Juan Melgar-Ayala was also a convicted felon. How he obtained the gun used is still under investigation.
In the shooting earlier in the day, Melgar-Ayala shot Michael Kasper, 61, at Phil’s Foodway, a local grocery store. As of December 4, detectives with the OPD Assault Unit have not found the motive or connection between Melgar-Ayala and Kasper. Melgar-Ayala reportedly shot Kasper multiple times. Kasper is in serious condition, but is expected to survive. More interviews and an investigation into the shooting at Phil’s Foodway are still ongoing.
The release states that officers attempted to give Melgar-Ayala commands to leave the restroom where he was hiding in both English and Spanish. After he left the bathroom, Melgar-Ayala shot at officers. Officers returned fire, killing Melgar-Ayala. Officials said that Melgar-Ayala was struggling with mental-health-related issues. Preliminary evidence showed that Melgar-Ayala shot at officers 16 times, but had more live ammunition on his person.
The case will be presented to a grand jury after the investigation is complete, according to the release. The officers involved, assignments, years of service, and, if provided, the injury sustained.

The father of Staff Sgt. Darin "Taylor" Hoover one of the 13 U.S. service members killed in the Abbey Gate bombing during the chaotic 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan is blasting the former Biden administration after an Afghan national allegedly shot two National Guardsmen just blocks from the White House.
Hoover gave Fox News Digital a new, forceful statement on Wednesday’s shooting, saying the incident was the direct result of the administration’s failed vetting of Afghan evacuees. "This is on the feckless Biden administration," Hoover said of the shooting. "We had no idea who was getting into this country because the Biden administration, especially the State Department run by Antony Blinken, didn’t do the work that was needed to vet all these people. There were so many people put on the planes that got out initially, that we have no idea who they were."
He continued: "By doing this, all we got is men of fighting age that are most likely terrorists that are here in the homeland to do us all harm and take our beloved United States of America. Maybe if the Biden administration started the process earlier than the truncated timetable that they did, this could have all come out so much better, including all of our most precious men and women of our military coming home." The FBI is leading the investigation into the shooting, and multiple intelligence sources tell Fox News Digital the attack is being treated as a possible act of international terrorism. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal, was taken into custody after allegedly ambushing the two West Virginia National Guardsmen near the White House.
Fox News Digital previously reported that Lakanwal entered the United States in September 2021 under Operation Allies Welcome, immediately following the fall of Kabul, and that he had worked with several U.S. government entities, including the CIA, as part of a partner force in Kandahar. "The individual and so many others should have never been allowed to come here," former CIA Director John Ratcliffe told Fox News Digital. "Our citizens and service members deserve far better than to endure the ongoing fallout from the Biden administration’s catastrophic failures."
Hoover says the shooting confirms what he and other Gold Star parents feared when thousands of Afghans were evacuated during the final days of the withdrawal that many individuals were allowed into the United States without adequate screening. "We had no idea who Biden put on those planes," Hoover said. "None." Wednesday’s comments come after years of public criticism from Hoover, who has been one of the most vocal parents demanding accountability for the Abbey Gate attack that killed 13 American service members, including his son Taylor, an 11-year Marine veteran who was engaged to be married and on his third deployment to Afghanistan. As someone who has a spine injury myself and can't afford the surgery I know the pain involved with living with it, and this poor girl might be on a long road to recovery but this sort of injury after surgery has many complications also. He has now been charged with aggravated vehicular assault, driving without a license and obstruction of justice, according to Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones. Courtney Steinmetz, a nurse and volunteer cheerleading coach, was driving along Route 747 on Nov. 20, when she was allegedly hit head-on by Perez-Ventura in Liberty Township, Ohio.
Perez-Ventura was first captured crossing the Texas border in 2019, and deported back to Guatemala, according to Jones. And he returned to the U.S. at some point, and in 2023, was charged with assault in Cincinnati. That same year, he was arrested and charged with drunk driving in Westchester, Jones said. Perez-Ventura was released after both arrests. However, Perez-Ventura's criminal history didn't end there. In 2024, he was arrested twice for drunk driving, and released again.
"This low-life piece of s--- named Johen, who has been arrested [four times] for DUIs … he had alcohol in the car, had to be cut out of the car, [went] to the hospital," Jones said in a video post to the Butler County Sheriff's Office Facebook page. "You know who pays for that. We do. … It's not his first time. … He's used to this. He was just going to be in the wind. … Not this time. We waited and then [Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)] made the apprehension." Jones said Perez-Ventura did not have a driver's license, speculating he may have shown fake IDs to officers at other agencies, and they let him go anyway.
"That's appalling in itself," the sheriff said. "They probably didn't want to send him to my jail because he would be deported. He [had] already been incarcerated at that point for DUI, assault, and he'd come across the border twice." Perez-Ventura, using an interpreter, claimed he was not the driver because he was on probation for one of his prior offenses. Sarah Beckstrom, one of the national guard troops shot in Washington DC on Wednesday, has died, Donald Trump said on Thursday. “Sarah Beckstrom of West Virginia, one of the guardsmen that we’re talking about, highly respected, young, magnificent person … She’s just passed away. She’s no longer with us,” Trump said in his first live remarks since the shooting.
Beckstrom, 20, was one of two members of the national guards shot near the White House in a targeted attack. The other member, Andrew Wolfe, 24, is still fighting for his life, according to the president. Beckstrom’s father had told the New York Times in a phone call earlier in the day that his daughter was unlikely to recover. “I’m holding her hand right now,” Gary Beckstrom said. “She has a mortal wound. It’s not going to be a recovery.”
Both Beckstrom and Wolfe belonged to the West Virginia National Guard, which deployed hundreds of troops to Washington as part of Trump’s crime-fighting mission in the capital. On Thursday, West Virginia’s governor, Patrick Morrisey, confirmed Beckstrom’s death in a social media post: “Sarah served with courage, extraordinary resolve, and an unwavering sense of duty to her state and to her nation. She answered the call to serve, stepped forward willingly, and carried out her mission with the strength and character that define the very best of the West Virginia National Guard.” Beckstrom, from Webster Springs, West Virginia, entered service in June 2023.
Authorities have identified the suspect in the attack as Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29. Little is known yet about his life, but officials have confirmed that Lakanwal came to the US in September 2021 from his native Afghanistan under a program that gave some Afghans who had worked for the US government entry visas. He was granted asylum in April this year, under the Trump administration, Reuters reported. Lakanwal worked with CIA-backed military units during the US war in Afghanistan, the CIA has confirmed.
A resident of eastern Afghanistan who identified himself as Lakanwal’s cousin told the Associated Press that he was originally from the province of Khost. The cousin, who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals, said Lakanwal had worked in a special Afghan Army unit. A former official from the unit, who also spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation, said Lakanwal was a team leader and his brother was a platoon leader.
The cousin said Lakanwal started out working as a security guard for the unit in 2012, and was later promoted to become a team leader and a GPS specialist. Lakanwal’s former landlord, Kristina Widman, said Lakanwal had been living in Washington state with his wife and five children.
Jeanine Pirro, US attorney for Washington DC, said at a news conference Thursday that Lakanwal drove across the country to launch an “ambush-style” attack with a .357 Smith & Wesson revolver. The suspect shot one guard member twice before turning to fire at the second, Pirro said. Other national guard members at the scene had engaged and neutralized the suspect, she added. Pirro said the suspect would be charged with three counts of assault with intent to kill while armed and possession of a firearm during a crime of violence. However, if the national guard members did not survive, Pirro said, the charges could be increased to murder in the first degree.
The FBI director, Kash Patel, told the news conference the agency is investigating the shooting as an act of terrorism. Law enforcement agencies had executed search warrants at the suspect’s home in Washington and in San Diego, California. Investigators have no information yet on a motive, but believe Lakanwal acted alone. Lakenwal was one of roughly 76,000 Afghans brought to the US through the resettlement program, many of whom worked alongside US troops and diplomats as interpreters and translators.
Supporters have said candidates were extensively vetted. But the initiative has drawn intense criticism from Trump and other Republicans over what they have argued are gaps in the vetting process and the speed of admissions.
Shortly after the shooting, Trump was quick to cast the blame on the Biden administration, accusing it of failing to properly vet migrants from Afghanistan. And he indicated he considered the attack justification for a broad review of asylum and green card applications. “We must now re-examine every single alien who has entered our country from Afghanistan under Biden, and we must take all necessary measures to ensure the removal of any alien from any country who does not belong here, or add benefit to our country,” Trump said on Wednesday. “If they can’t love our country, we don’t want them.”
The leaders of several federal agencies have promised immigration reviews. US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) said that it has stopped processing all immigration requests relating to Afghan nationals. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said it was expanding that directive to include a review of all asylum cases approved under the Biden administration. DHS did not clarify whether it is reviewing all asylum cases from only Afghanistan or from other countries, as well.
The USCIS director, Joseph Edlow, later added he was also directing a “full-scale, rigorous re-examination of every green card for every alien from every country of concern” at Trump’s request. When asked what countries were considered “of concern,” USCIS pointed at Trump’s executive order restricted the entry to the US of nationals of 19 countries. Soon after the shooting, Trump said he would send 500 more National Guard troops to Washington DC. It’s not clear where the additional troops would come from.
As of early November, the D.C. National Guard had the largest number on the ground, with 949 members. In addition to West Virginia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama also had forces in the capital early this month. A federal judge last week ordered an end to the Guard deployment but also put her order on hold for 21 days to allow the Trump administration time to either remove the troops or appeal.

More than 500 Chinese-manufactured drones confiscated by Florida officials will be used for military target practice for evaluation and training.
Instead of torching the machines, the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) will shoot them down with shotguns, according to Bloomberg News. The quadcopter drones will be used over the course of three days next month to train elite U.S. troops on how to take out enemy drones. The Military Drone Crucible training event is scheduled for Dec. 4-6 at Camp Blanding, according to the U.S. National Drone Association’s (USNDA) website.
The event will feature training sessions focused on clearing a room with opposing troops present and striking an enemy convoy. "It will be the largest counter-drone destruction event ever held in the United States," USNDA President Nate Ecelbarger told Bloomberg News.
To date, the largest drone destruction event was held in September, when an electromagnetic weapon was used to take down 49 drones at Camp Atterbury in Indiana, according to Axios. Navy SEALs, Marines and Army Rangers participated in the Indiana event for training purposes.

In August 2015, the USDA disqualified Camara and his store, K’s Grocery, from participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (“SNAP”) due to suspected fraud. In September 2020, Camara enrolled K’s Grocery in the Federal Child Nutrition Program under the sponsorship of Feeding Our Future. Just In 2020 and 2021, Camara fraudulently claimed to be serving meals to 1,000 children a day, seven days a week, at his site. No let's be realitic but Camara did no such thing. Elissa Slotkin appeared on ABC’s This Week on Sunday after she and several other veterans turned lawmakers released a video reminding U.S. service members that they are obligated to refuse illegal orders under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
Well folks Host Martha Raddatz pressed Slotkin on whether she believed President Trump had actually issued any illegal orders. Slotkin said she released the video because young officers and JAG attorneys had been reaching out with concerns and confusion about recent directives especially related to military activity in the Caribbean and enforcement actions connected to Venezuela.
Venezuela a terrorist harboring country, and when asked directly if Trump had issued illegal orders, Slotkin responded with “To my knowledge, I am not aware of things that are illegal, but certainly there are some legal gymnastics going on with these Caribbean strikes and everything related to Venezuela.” While she clearly is helping terrorist countries like Venezuela by even speaking up she's talking like someone who is asking for "Treason" against the current White House.

Which the president called “great news” Greene followed with “Loyalty should be a two-way street,” she said in a lengthy resignation statement shared on social media, adding that it was “unfair and wrong” that Trump turned on her for disagreeing with him. That isn't the only reason but she did push on the Epstein files, and other things which she had no business getting involved in.
When he was asked if Greene had informed him, Trump said “Nah, it doesn’t matter, you know, but I think it’s great. I think she should be happy.” Greene had said last week she was the subject of “a hotbed of threats” after Trump withdrew his support for and endorsement of her.
