The House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy again vowed to oust high-profile Democrats Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell, and Ilhan Omar from key committees if he becomes speaker. “I’ll keep that promise,” McCarthy told Fox News on Sunday.
Schiff, who is the chair of the House Intelligence Committee which in itself is hilarious to say since well Adam Schiff has no "Intelligence" in his small pea sized brain. But he just accused McCarthy of pandering to the right wing of his party. “I suspect he will do whatever Marjorie Taylor Greene wants him to do,”
Schiff said on ABC's This Week. “He is a very weak leader of his conference, meaning that he will adhere to the wishes of the lowest common denominator. And if that lowest common denominator wants to remove people from committees, that’s what they’ll do.”
McCarthy has said Swalwell should be off the Intelligence Committee because of his ties to a woman who was later unmasked as an alleged Chinese spy, and that Omar should lose her post on the Foreign Affairs Committee because of what he called “her anti-Semitic comments.”

The Federal Election Commission records released Thursday show that Pelosi transferred $10,000 from her PAC and an additional $4,000 from her campaign committee to Omar on July 22, one week after Pelosi endorsed Omar in her reelection bid.
The Minnesota DemocRAT is facing an expensive primary battle against attorney Antone Melton-Meaux, who outraised Omar significantly in the second quarter of 2020. Melton-Meaux raked in $3.3 million between April and June to Omar’s $470,000. Included in the challenger’s donor list is Democratic Colorado governor Jared Polis, who gave $1,000 to Melton-Meaux’s campaign on July 27.
The impressive fundraising haul allowed Melton-Meaux to spend more than $1.7 million over the first three weeks of July. Omar, meanwhile, spent just $784,000. More than $600,000—77 percent of those disbursements—went to a D.C.-based consulting firm run by Omar’s new husband.
Following his spending spree, Melton-Meaux holds $695,000 on hand, down from the $2 million he held at the end of the second quarter. Omar holds $732,000 on hand.
Omar, who will square off against Melton-Meaux and three additional Democratic challengers during the state’s August 11 primary election is hopefully looking inside a prison cell after she loses her election! Unless she’s rigged it again noway she wins! The late push from Pelosi suggests genuine concern for Omar, who has butted heads with the California DemocRAT in the past. Isra’s remarks are made as a video inset shows what appears to be a group of soldiers calling someone a “b*tch.” “I know that this is a joke, but the fact that these men are calling me a bitch while they are actively killing innocent children abroad and also furthering American imperialism makes me think they are actually the b*tch,” Isra can be heard saying.
Omar’s daughter responded to Pearson online to say he is “obsessed” with her, and she challenged his claim.
Also the article is factually incorrect. The men in the video clearly call those watching “bitches”, which is why I used the word.

Her three children were all born in the U.S. While Omar’s marriage history is a mess, her children are with Ahmed Hirsi, who she reportedly had a “faith-based” marriage with, while legally married to another man a man who may be her biological brother, who she allegedly married for immigration purposes.

After the couple’s quick divorce, Omar married the consultant, Tim Mynett, in March 2020 — the lawmaker has steered hundreds of thousands of dollars to her now-husband’s political consulting firm.
Isra has been touted in the media as a “climate justice activist” who advocates for the Green New Deal. She was featured on national television last year for helping push a climate strike.
In a Sept. 2019 interview with Essence, she spoke about the impact capitalism, white supremacy, and colonialism have had on the climate.
“The climate crisis is such a massive issue that everything is impacted by it … everything is intertwined in some way,” she said.
“I’ve been on this earth for 16 and a half years and my entire existence has been the climate crisis, right?” Isra added. “My generation didn’t have the privilege to live in a world where we always had clean air.”

Western Couple Travel to Middle East to Prove It ‘Gets a Bad Rap’ — End Up in Iranian Prison in an ironic twist a blogger couple who traveled from Australia to Asia and the Middle East in an attempt to “break the stigma” surrounding developing countries was reportedly arrested.
The duo were identified as Jolie King and Mark Firkin, the BBC reported on Thursday. Although the couple was arrested 10 weeks ago near Tehran, it wasn’t until Wednesday that the news became known. In 2017, they planned to leave Australia and drive from Asia to London. Along the way, the pair shared videos documenting the trip with their thousands of followers on social media.
That was a post on Instagram which along with the YouTube Channel are full of stunning landscapes, cerulean beaches and lush waterfalls that look ripped out of a luxury travelogue – a far cry from the reality many associate with less developed areas of the world.
“Our biggest motivation… is to hopefully inspire anyone wanting to travel, and also try to break the stigma around travelling to countries which get a bad wrap [sic] in the media,” the pair wrote online.
The journey seemed to be proceeding in perfectly idyllic fashion, as evidenced by the couple’s regular posts to Instagram.
“The warm hospitality we received in Pakistan continued to deliver though. A local Shepard, (who spoke zero English) rode up on his horse, got off, then offered his horse to go for a ride,” they said in one such post. “Jolie went for a spin then with nothing but a smile and a wave he rode off down the valley with two of his mates who had also arrived.”
But the frequent updates King and Firkin shared to the Instagram account, The Way Overland, they’d set up just for the trip abruptly stopped in late June… Australian officials have repeatedly petitioned Tehran for the pair’s release, according to the BBC.
“[We] hope to see Mark and Jolie safely home as soon as possible,” the couple’s families said Thursday in a statement released by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs. According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, King and Firkin were arrested for reportedly flying a drone without a permit. They’ve been imprisoned ever since. A source told the BBC that King was told Iran is holding her as part of a potential prisoner exchange with Australia. Jolie King, Mark Firkin and other citizens of the world King and Firkin aren’t the only couple to have taken turned their idealism into action by traveling to potentially dangerous foreign lands.
In July, a Somalian-born Canadian journalist returned to her homeland to tell “uplifting” stories of how people lived there. However, her homecoming ended in tragedy when she was killed in an attack perpetrated by al-Shabab militants.
Last July, Jay Austin and Lauren Goeghegan were biking in southwest Tajikistan – a region that borders ISIS-territory in northern Afghanistan – when they were murdered by five men who stabbed the couple to death. The attack was led by an Islamic State terrorist.
The two had embarked in 2017 on a bike trip around the world. In an echo of Firkin and King, the couple was motivated by their belief that, “By and large, humans are kind,” as Austin put it in a blog post documenting the journey. “You read the papers and you’re led to believe that the world is a big, scary place,” Austin wrote from Morocco. “I don’t buy it.
