Fatman Scoop passes away! RIP

Damn this is some sad news here as Rapper Isaac Freeman III, aka Fatman Scoop, has died after the iconic musician collapsed onstage Friday night. This according to Scoop's tour manager who posted, "I am honestly lost for words… You took me all over the world and had me performing alongside you on some of the biggest and greatest stages on this planet, the things you taught me have truely made me the man I am today. Thank you so much, I love you x."
The Reminisce Festival, where Fatman Scoop was set to perform Sept. 7 also posted to Instagram saying, "It is with the deepest sorrow that we at Reminisce have received the devastating news of the tragic passing of the legendary Isaac Freeman III, known to us all as Fatman Scoop. This loss has left us all heartbroken."
TMZ broke the news that the legendary hip hop hype man was performing at Town Center Park in Hamden, CT when he appeared to suffer a medical emergency. Horrifying video showed Scoop collapse mid-performance. Following his collapse and being rushed to the hospital, Hamden Mayor Lauren Garrett asked fans to "please keep him in your thoughts and prayers."

Our deepest condolences to his family, fans and the rap industry for this loss. He was a true great... RIP

Ice Cube Fans to Boycott 'Last Friday' OVER TRUMP!?

So this is the new low even for these liberal leftist conmen but now they're hitting up on ICE CUBE with their idiotic hate! Check this out some idiot posted that 'Maybe the MAGA Crowd Can Go See His Movies' these idiots are now calling for to Boycott 'Last Friday' a Movie the Rap icon and Actor is making because as they said he is being too 'Being Cozy' with you guessed it! Donald Trump... Now Ice Cube is optimistic that the “Last Friday” film is finally coming to fruition after years of battling Warner Bros. Entertainment over it being made. So far it's been a trilogy and there has been talk again for a long time about making more but the WB for some reason never went and let it be done. You would think after the NWA bio movie "Straight Outta Compton" they would have opened their pocketbook to anything with Cube in it but nope... But now as it looks like finally it's happenening these idiots do this and some fans of the rapper say his political choices have tainted their enthusiasm about heading to theaters to support the movie if it does, in fact, make it out of development. These people are evil so in other words he can't have his own freedom of opinion or you will not go see his films? Sounds like a communist tactic here but let's continue here as Cube said “We working on it, we working on it,” Cube told Flavor Flav on the SiriusXM show “Flavor of the Week.” He explained that the project has gained “traction” now that Warner Bros. Entertainment has placed former New Line Cinema executive Mike De Luca over its films.

“My man Mike De Luca, who used to be at New Line when I first started, when I first did the first ‘Friday’ and ‘Players Club’ and ‘All About the Benjamins,’ Mike De Luca was there. So now he’s running Warner Bros., him and my man Michael Gruber are like, ‘Yo, what the f—k is going on with ‘Friday’? Man, let’s get this s—t back online,’” he added. The “Today Was a Good Day” emcee has long claimed that he wrote two scripts for the fourth installment of the franchise. However, when development stalled, he had no way of moving forward because Warner owns distribution of his films. But with new leadership in place, Cube may have a new experience. “I was a little hot because they had took so long,” he said, noting that the franchise’s stars like John Witherspoon, who played Pops, Tommy Lister Jr., who played Deebo, and AJ Johnson, who portrayed Ezal, have all passed away. Witherspoon, 77, succumbed to a heart attack in 2019, Lister, 62, died of heart disease-related complications in 2020, and Johnson, 55, from organ failure caused by chronic alcohol consumption in 2021. “We keep losing people, and y’all keep d—king around not doing the movie the way it need to be done. They wanna do it, but the key is it gotta be done right, Flav, or we shouldn’t f—k with it,” said the rapper-turned-actor Though Cube said that the studio finally “came to their senses,” not all of his fans feel the same about him. A tweet expressing disinterest read, “No thanks, maybe the MAGA crowd can go see his movies because that’s who he’s down with now. I won’t support him!”

Another X user who was vexed by Cube’s past openness to working with former President Donald Trump wrote, “So, do we want to see it? Ice Cube being cozy with the Trump Administration is a meh.” Cube never endorsed the impeached President, but he did present his Contract With Black America, a plan to address racial inequality, to the Trump campaign in 2020. The campaign responded by promoting its Platinum Plan to entice Black voters to support Trump’s re-election. According to the Trump campaign, Cube provided input for their plan to impose initiatives that would uplift the Black community. The West Coast rap legend faced harsh criticism for his political alignment. “Every side is the Darkside for us here in America,” he tweeted in defense of his controversial decision. “They’re all the same until something changes for us. They all lie, and they all cheat, but we can’t afford to negotiate.” Folks these are NOT CUBE fans! These are leftists shills who are using this tired tactic and are trying to force another actor to hate on TRUMP or else! This is not right and he has all the right to support whoever he wants politicaly and so does anyone who wants our country to get better. Joe Biden is a weak old fart machine who is not good for this country the previous debate just days ago proved this! Don't be fooled folks that man is not in the right frame of mind and never been but now Biden is lost in dimentia unless he's got his cocaine on hand and it was clear the man wasn't on it this last debate or maybe he was on too much and it didn't let him forcus at all? But if he's not on any drug to pep him up and just has those moments where he's lucid and those when he's not. Folks this is not a man fit for leading this nation... We saw it live these were not a "CHEAP FAKE" as the left tried to again lie about.

A third critic reacting to the latest “Last Friday’ update commented, “Is he going to write a role for his new buddy Tucker Carlson?” The transgression in question occurred in 2023. Cube and former Fox News correspondent Tucker Carlson discovered that they shared similar stances on a variety of topics as they rode around South Central L.A., the former N.W.A. group member’s hometown. The “Ride Along” star was called a sellout and accused of allowing himself to be used to promote conservatives’ political agendas. The hip-hop veteran, however, has been steadfast in declaring himself a free thinker who has not been welcomed onto a number of well-known platforms. Political stances aside, some social media users think that “Last Friday” finally has Warner’s support thanks to the success of “Bad Boys: Ride or Die.” One person joked, “They seen bad boys surpass 1 billion, and they said not on their watch.” Some think, at minimum, there should be seven movies in the “Friday” collection. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s buddy cop franchise had amassed more than $1 billion at the box office. The fourth installment raked in $227 million in the first four weeks following its June 7 debut. Directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah already have ideas for a fifth film, but Sony has not officially greenlit another sequel.

Again folks if people turn on you like this they were not his fans! So this is a joke and these people need to stop... ICE Cube didn't cross any lines like how Eminem did with his b/s rap going at Trump. We now seen BIDEN lie, and lie, and lie, and look lost on the debate stage. We're in great danger with him as President as the world is laughing at him, us and we need to move on and get the real President Donald Trump back in office.

Diddy has his houses raided by Homeland Security!

Take that, take that... unha! Well this came out of nowhere but The Los Angeles home of Sean "Diddy" Combs was raided by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Monday in connection with a federal sex trafficking case, said authorities. "Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami and our local law enforcement partners. We will provide further information as it becomes available," As released in a statement by HSI.

The federal raid occurred at Combs' $40 million home in LA's lavish Holmby Hills neighborhood and across the coast, HSI also raised the music mogul's Miami home on Star Island. The home was registered to Bad Boys Films, a division of Bad Boy Entertainment, along with one of Combs’ daughters. At this time, the Department of Homeland Security has not named Diddy as the focus of the investigation but Homeland Security expert Hal Kempfer said that there have been allegations that he had been drugging young women and that the agency is likely looking into the alleged crimes committed in multiple states.

Kempfer also added that some of the evidence they’re looking for includes "laptops, flash drives, and anything that would connect Combs with the allegations." In addition, he said "obtaining a search warrant of this magnitude requires a lengthy process and that working with state and local attorneys was likely required." Investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department were also at the scene and refused to comment. "We will always support law enforcement when it seeks to prosecute those that have violated the law," said Doug Wigdor, a lawyer for Cassie Ventura and one of Diddy’s other accusers, in a released statement. "Hopefully, this is the beginning of a process that will hold Mr. Combs responsible for his depraved conduct." Diddy was also mentioned in Katt Williams’ explosive interview with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay.

"All lies will be exposed," Williams said when asked about Diddy, Harvey Weinstein, R. Kelly and Michael Jackson. Last year, Casandra Ventura, also known as R&B singer Cassie, dropped a bombshell lawsuit in a New York federal court against the Bad Boy mogul. Combs and Ventura dated between 2005 and 2018. The lawsuit detailed several eyebrow-raising allegations that detailed years of alleged abuse. The two then settled on a settlement the next day. But Diddy wasn't free and clear just yet as a week later, two women came forward to accuse the hip-hop mogul of sexual abuse in a separate lawsuit. Both of those lawsuits were filed in Nov. 2023 on the eve of the expiration of the Adult Survivors Act, a New York law permitting victims of sexual abuse a one-year window to file civil action regardless of the statute of limitations. The filings detail acts of sexual assault, beatings and forced drugging allegedly committed in the early 1990s by Combs, then a talent director, party promoter and rising figure in New York City’s hip-hop community.

One of the accusers, Joi Dickerson, said she was a 19-year-old student at Syracuse University when she agreed to meet Combs at a restaurant in Harlem in 1991. After their date, Combs "intentionally drugged" her, then brought her home and sexually assaulted her, according to the filing. Without her knowledge, Combs videotaped the assault and later shared it with several friends in the music industry, the suit alleges. The public exposure sent Dickerson into a "tailspin," contributing to severe depression that landed her in the hospital and forced her to drop out of college. Fast-forward to Feb. 2024, Combs faced another lawsuit filed by a male music producer. The suit, filed in federal court in New York, accused Combs of repeated instances of unsolicited groping and sexual touching. It also says the man had to work in a bathroom while Combs showered and walked around naked.

A lawyer for Combs called the events described in the lawsuit "pure fiction." "We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies," said Combs attorney Shawn Holley in response which is honestly laughable to read or say outloud because if he did nothing there shouldn't proof going either way. This is a "She Said vs He Said" case and what "OVERWHELMING INDISPUTABLE PROOF" do they have? What some friends of Comb who say he didn't do it? lol Man I can't wait to see where this goes. But she went on to say that "We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those who make them," so let's see what happens next.

Remember Diddy has also been connected by a lot of people to the 1994 and possible 1996 shooting of rapper Tupac Shakur. So this could be what finally see's Diddy face time for his overall life of crime. Because of his beef with Suge Knight we lost both Tupac and Biggie! Over some dumb stuff. Two people with an amazing gift taken too soon because of bad people surrounding them and guiding them to their death.

Keefe D indicted on murder of 2PAC

So nearly 30 years after we lost the most influential voice in the music I love most hip hop, and the artist who's music has been my favorite since his first cd came out 2pacalypse now in the early 90's, there’s movement in the case of Tupac Shakur’s murder. Here’s what we know so far as of now the unsolved killing of Tupac has taken a new twist. Authorities in Nevada confirmed that they served a search warrant this week in connection with the rap star’s shooting death in 1996.

One of the last living witnesses to the fatal drive-by shooting of rapper Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas was charged with murder with use of a deadly weapon Friday in the 1996 killing, a long-awaited breakthrough in a case that has frustrated investigators and fascinated the public ever since the hip-hop icon was gunned down 27 years ago.

A Nevada grand jury indicted Duane “Keffe D” Davis in the killing, prosecutors announced in court Friday. Chief Deputy District Attorney Marc DiGiacomo said a grand jury had been seated in the case for “several months.” DiGiacomo described Davis as the “on-ground, on-site commander” who “ordered the death” of Shakur.

The charges were revealed hours after Davis, 60, was arrested this morning while on a walk near his home, according to DiGiacomo. Davis has long been known to investigators and has himself admitted in interviews and in his 2019 tell-all memoir, “Compton Street Legend,” that he was in the Cadillac from which the gunfire erupted during the September 1996 drive-by shooting. Shakur was 25 when he was killed.

Police seized laptops, memoir from Vegas-area home of witness to Tupac Shakur’s 1996 killing in a Las Vegas-area home searched by police investigating the killing of rapper Tupac Shakur in 1996 is tied to Duane “Keffe D” Davis.

Tupac Shakur’s long-unsolved killing again under spotlight as Las Vegas police conduct search Authorities in Nevada say they have served a search warrant in connection with the long-unsolved killing of rapper Tupac Shakur in September 1996. Las Vegas police raided a home in mid-July in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson that is tied to Davis. Police were looking for items “concerning the murder of Tupac Shakur,” according to the search warrant. They collected multiple computers, a cellphone and hard drive, a Vibe magazine that featured Shakur, several .40-caliber bullets, two “tubs containing photographs” and a copy of Davis’ memoir.

Clark County District Judge Jerry Wiese denied Davis bail. “It has often been said that justice delayed is justice denied,” District Attorney Steve Wolfson said after the hearing in a brief comment to AP. “In this case, justice has been delayed, but justice won’t be denied.”

It wasn’t immediately clear if Davis has an attorney who can comment on his behalf. Davis hasn’t responded to multiple phone and text messages from The Associated Press seeking comment or an interview in the more than two months since the house raid.

Shakur was in a BMW driven by Death Row Records founder Marion “Suge” Knight in a convoy of about 10 cars. They were waiting at a red light when a white Cadillac pulled up next to them and gunfire erupted. Shakur was shot multiple times and died a week later at the age of 25.

The rapper’s death came as his fourth solo album, “All Eyez on Me,” remained on the charts, with some 5 million copies sold. Nominated six times for a Grammy Award, Shakur is still largely considered one of the most influential and versatile rappers of all time by rap fans world wide. Rumors that he's still alive, and hidding in fear for his life has been around since the day his death was announced. Now with this investigation and arrest perhaps both Tupac and his amazing mother Afeni Shakur who also left the earth a short while ago can both find peace. This is good news for the fans, family, and the loved ones of both Afeni and Tupac.

In his memoir, Davis said he was in the front passenger seat of the Cadillac and had slipped the gun used in the killing into the backseat, from where he said the shots were fired.

Davis implicated his nephew, Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, saying he was one of two people in the backseat. Anderson, a known rival of Shakur, had been involved in a casino brawl with the rapper shortly before the shooting.

After the casino brawl, “Mr. Davis formulated a plan to exact revenge upon Mr. Knight and Mr. Shakur” in his nephew’s defense, DiGiacomo said. Anderson died two years later. He had denied at the time being involved Shakur’s death. Something nobody believed but Davis revealed in his memoir when he first broke his silence in 2010 during a closed-door meeting with federal and local authorities.

At the time, he was 46 and facing life in prison on drug charges when he agreed to speak with them about Tupac’s killing, as well as the fatal shooting six months later of Tupac’s rap rival, Biggie Smalls, also known as the Notorious B.I.G.

They offered to let me go for running a ‘criminal enterprise’ and numerous alleged murders for the truth about the Tupac and Biggie murders,” he wrote. “They promised they would shred the indictment and stop the grand jury if I helped them out.”

Shakur was feuding at the time with rap rival Biggie Smalls, who was fatally shot in March 1997. At the time, both rappers were in the middle of an East Coast-West Coast rivalry that primarily defined the hip-hop scene during the mid-1990s.
Greg Kading, a retired Los Angeles police detective who spent years investigating the Shakur killing and wrote a book about it, said he’s not surprised by Davis’ arrest.

The former Los Angeles police detective said he believed the investigation gained new momentum in recent years following Davis’ public descriptions of his role in the killing, including his 2019 memoir.

“It’s those events that have given Las Vegas the ammunition and the leverage to move forward,” Kading said. “Prior to Keffe D’s public declarations, the cases were unprosecutable as they stood.”

The sad part is that this took so long, and Afeni didn't get to see this. This is awesome news. Made my day a whole lot better. NOT shocked I knew for years Keefe D, Orlando Anderson, and the Dancing Queen in Diddy were all involved. NOW I hope it all comes out. Hope if Diddy is indeed involved he goes to prison for life.

Prayers for a speedy recovery to RAP LEGEND Krayzie Bone!

The music industry and beyond is sending prayers and best wishes to Krayzie Bone, one of the original members of legendary group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony which is by far the greates Rap Group in Cleveland history. He went to the hospital after coughing up blood, and found out that a lung artery was leaking. Krayzie Bone who's real name is Anthony Henderson, is tackling a condition known as sarcoidosis (an inflammatory disease in his organs) which exacerbates his current health struggles.

In 2016, Krayzie Bone
told TMZ that he was diagnosed with sarcoidosis, which is “characterized by the growth of inflammatory cells” known as granulomas that are commonly found in the lungs and lymph nodes, but can be found anywhere in the body, according to the Mayo Clinic
.

It is unclear if Krayzie Bone's recent hospitalization is related to his condition, though member Layzie Bone did ask for prayers on Tuesday and said an update would be forthcoming.

"In this challenging moment, as the immediate and Bone thugs family rallies behind my brother, we humbly ask for a moment of privacy. Our family is facing the unexpected hospitalization of Krayzie Bone with strength, and your prayers are a beacon of hope," he wrote on Instagram. "Soon, we’ll share an update, but for now, let us come together and keep our love and thoughts focused on his recovery.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony which consists of members Krayzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, Layzie Bone and Flesh-n-Bone was formed in 1991 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Your support means the world to us, and we truly appreciate your understanding during this time." The rapper’s fellow Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member Bizzy Bone wrote on his Instagram Story on Sunday, “Pray 4 Kray.”

The group is regarded as one of the greatest hip-hop/rap groups of all time with hits “Thuggish Ruggish Bone,” “1st of tha Month” and “East 1999, Rebirth (With Thin C), Thug Luv (With 2pac)”

The Grammy-winning group is the only rap group to have collaborated with Tupac Shakur, the Notorious B.I.G., Big Pun and Eazy-E before they died.

Krayzie Bone also pursued a solo career in the late '90s with the release of his debut studio album Thug Mentality 1999. The project was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

GET BETTER KRAYZIE! We need you around a lot longer... Sending out prayers.

Tupac Shakur posthumously receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame!

Like some of you know "2Pac" or "Tupac Shakur" or however you would spell his name just got a long overdue posthumously star on Hollywood Walk of Fame! Shakur is one of only 12 rap artists, including Queen Latifah and Ice-T, who have received a star on the Walk of Fame and the first I do think but I could be wrong on that so don't sue me if there is one other or two.

But as a BIG BIG fan of 2Pac since 1990 and having seen him rise, and pass way to seen and having heard all his music hundreds of times, and knowing all the lyrics all I can say is he should have got one 2 decades ago at least. But better late than never.

He lived to be only 25 yet his music is still hitting people today like if he could tell the future. IF You listen close it's like he speaks of what we're facing today in a lot of what he said when he was in his early 20's. Without a doubt a man before his time, and one who left us many songs, and a few movies to marvel at the talent that was taken in 1996... He will always be my favorite rapper, and he will always be an influence in me, and the hip hop culture. Rest in Peace to him and thank god they finally are showing Pac love with this STAR... It's something to show he left his imprint in society and the people involved in these matters are finally starting to wake up... Hope they're listening to his words in his music too.

Remember he said it... "It's NOT THEM that's killing us... It's us that's killing us". He was talking about White people, and the Police compared to Black on Black Crime... Black people pay attention.

Snitches get?

Snitch and so called "Rapper" Tekashi 6ix9ine injured after beating at South Florida LA Fitness, Palm Beach sheriff's office says. To those involved we say "thank you" not that we advocate violence but that guy had a good beat down coming to him, and if he keeps up his behavior I'm sure he's gonna keep getting them when chances come up so he needs to triple his security and go hide somewhere before he ends up getting himself infront of the wrong people who will not stop at just a beat down. Here is the rest of the scoop.

MIAMI - Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was hospitalized after he was beaten while inside a Palm Beach County LA Fitness steam room, according to video posted on social media and police.

The rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez and who sports rainbow colored hair, suffered facial cuts and had to be hospitalized following the beating Tuesday, his attorney, Lance Lazzaro, told news outlets.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said in a written statement that the assault occurred at the LA Fitness located in the 8000 block of Lantana Road in Lake Worth.

A Video posted to several social media sites showed Hernandez (Tekashi 6ix9ine) on the floor of the gym bathroom as men kicked him and grabbed him by the hair. The sheriff's office said the rapper was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

As of Wednesday evening, no arrests had been made in connection with the incident.
Tekashi 6ix9ine was a social media phenomenon with millions of followers on Instagram before becoming an ascendant name in hip-hop.

  • He had a multiplatinum hit song, "Fefe," with Nicki Minaj, which peaked at No. 3 on the pop charts, and "Stoopid," featuring the incarcerated rapper Bobby Shmurda. After he was released from jail time thanks to snitching he released the song "Gooba" not just admitting to being a snitch but clowning on those he snitched on and other rappers in the industry. This caused further heat and hate for Tekashi.

Alex Jones tries to get Kanye West to clarify that he doesn't actually love Hitler

Let's give Alex Jones credit here he tries hard to get Kanye West to clarify that he doesn't actually love Hitler ... But as it stands Ye: "There's a lot of things that I love about Hitler. A lot of things." Seems to have really now just well... Gone CRAY CRAY! ? Well that's what it seems to really be happening to YE "IMO" ... Look folks we're NOT anti-Semite here and we don't hate JEWS, and are NOT Holocaust deniers.

We all know that it indeed happen, and we all know Hitler was an awful evil person or Monster. You pick. So this move by YE is as unmoving to us as it is for anyone watching him have yet another one of his meltdowns. Well maybe what "YE" needs is less media attention and more therapy.

To Donald Trump STOP letting him come over to "talk" cause honestly I think Kanye is now just Trolling Trump at this point.

Rapper Coolio has passed away.......... RIP

Artis Leon Ivey Jr., who was known professionally as Coolio, has passed away. He was an American Rapper, Actor who first came to fame as a member of the gangsta rap group WC and the Maad Circle. Coolio achieved mainstream success as a solo artist in the mid-to-late 1990’s with his albums It Takes a Thief, Gangsta’s Paradise, and My Soul. The rapper/Actor died at the Los Angeles home of a friend, longtime manager Jarez Posey told The Associated Press. The cause was not immediately clear.

Coolio won a Grammy for best solo rap performance for “Gangsta’s Paradise,” the 1995 hit from the soundtrack of the Michelle Pfeiffer film “Dangerous Minds” that sampled Stevie Wonder’s 1976 song “Pastime Paradise.” He was nominated for five other Grammys during a career that began in the late-1980s. Born in Monessen, Pennsylvania south of Pittsburgh, Coolio moved to Compton, California, where he went to community college. He worked as a volunteer firefighter and in airport security before devoting himself full-time to the hip-hop scene.

His career took off with the 1994 release of his debut album on Tommy Boy Records, “It Takes a Thief.” It’s opening track, “Fantastic Voyage,” would reach No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

A year later, “Gangsta’s Paradise” would become a No. 1 single, with its dark opening lyrics: “As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I take a look at my life and realize there’s not much left, ‘cause I’ve been blastin’ and laughin’ so long, that even my mama thinks that my mind is gone.” Social media lit up with reactions to the unexpected death. “This is sad news,” Ice Cube said on Twitter. “I witness first hand this man’s grind to the top of the industry. Rest In Peace, @Coolio.” and “Peaceful journey brother,” Questlove tweeted.

Tupac dissed on A Newly Surfaced Record by NAS That’s Just Over 25 Years Old

Well it’s like pac said “They talk shit when I’m gone cause they fear me in the physical form… I’m Troublesome.” Now More than 25 years later which is as long as 2pac lived, Nas and Tupac were entwined in a short-lived hip-hop beef which blew up due to the 2PAC & B.i.G Beef. It began in 1996, when Nas released his second album, It Was WrittenIt featured “The Message,” a track on which Tupac believed he was dissed. Tupac later released “Against All Odds,” with his own shots at Nas. But before they patched things up, Tupac was tragically killed in a shooting.

Soy 25 years after their beef came to an end, Vibe reports that an unreleased record by Nas has leaked, and it features him taking strong shots at the late rapper. His attacks arrive halfway through the song’s first verse. “From tube-socks in Timbs to blue rocks and Benz / Who got the ends, the type of n***a 2Pac pretends,” Nas raps. “To all n****s who shine, guess who got revenge / I won’t showboat, my flow choke you.” This marks the first time fans hear Nas directly, unambiguously diss Tupac on a record.

Last summer, Nas spoke about the moment Tupac confronted him about the alleged (though not confirmed) diss on “The Message” during an interview on Ebro In The Morning. Nas explained that he thought I was dissing him on the song ‘The Message,’ and I heard he was dissing me at clubs,” the rapper revealed. “He was like ‘Yo Nas, we brothers, man. We not supposed to go through this.’ And I’m like, that’s what I’m saying.” He added, “We had a plan to squash it in Vegas. So I was out there when he was in the hospital, praying for him to come through. Rest in peace.”

While the lyrics are clever it just shows that NAS didn’t mean anything said in that and it was all rhymes because he quickly was able to end their feud, and was at the hospital as 2Pac passed in 1996.

In his reply to NAS Pac has this track which was recorded but never released, and it’s part of the music still in the vault from the recordings Tupac has that well have yet to be on an official cd release. This track is fire, and I could see with the right production it could be mixed into at least 2 tracks with other rappers banging on it to fill out a new Tupac cd. Perhaps Tha Outlawz might want to get this on their future cds? OR maybe Amaru Records will put that idea on a future pac cd who knows.

This would have been his 50th Birthday...

So June 16, 1971 was the day Tupac was born, and after a short 25 years of life his life was cut short by a shooter, and one who is believed to have been Orlando Anderson the same dude who Tupac, and others on Death Row Records got into a fight the night Tupac was shot at the MGM hotel. This has been a long rumor since that fateful night, and one which I believe to be on point given my own person investigation into the shooting over the last 2 decades. Yes which includes actually speaking to people involved in the life of Pac, and who knew Orlando Anderson. They all think Orlando did it, and it was all set up after their fight. The current theme for years has been that Orlando called Biggie, and PDiddy and told them what happened, and they said to find him, shoot them, and the hit was for both Pac & Suge. Only Pac was hit the most, and died as a result, and the rest is now in the history books sadly.

A number of rumors have spread about the rapper over the years like when Suge Knight previously said the rapper had spoken about faking his own death when they were on vacation. His son, Suge J. Knight, is convinced Tupac is living in Malaysia and that his death was staged by the Illuminati. Many ‘sightings’ over the years have led people to believe that the star faked his own death, while others are convinced he’s living in plain sight.

Also Jada Pinkett Smith and Tupac Shakur’s relationship has long been a topic of discussion and she went as far as to trash the biopic about Tupac “All Eyez on Me” which came out a few years ago as she said it didn’t show their relationship how it went down for real, and from what I was told that was done out of respect to her since she has not really spoken publicly a lot about their time together but she took it the wrong way and got mad. The two were high school classmates at the Baltimore School for the Arts, Tupac played Jada’s still head-over-heels in love ex-boyfriend on A Different World, and their platonic friendship is one that has been both admired and envied by many, including Jada’s husband, Will Smith.

In honor of his memory and what would have been the rapper’s 50th birthday, Jada shared a never-before-seen poem Tupac wrote. I think this is where he got the song name, and partial lyrics for the track “Lost Soulz” with Tha Outlawz. Anyway check out the video posted by her below.

You can read the full poem below:
Some say nothing gold can last forever
And 2 believe this I need no proof
I have witnessed all that was pure in me
Be changed by the evil men can do
The innocence possessed by children
Once lived inside my soul
But surviving years with criminal peers
Has turned my warm heart to cold
I used 2 dream and fantasize
But now I’m scared 2 sleep
Petrified, not to live or die
But to awaken and still be me
It is true that nothing gold can last
We will all one day see death
When the purest hearts are torn apart
Lost souls are all that’s left
Down on my knees I beg of God
To save me from this fate
Let me live to see what was gold in me
Before it is all too late

Rest in Peace Shock G of Digital Underground

WOW another major blow to the nation of hip hop… Gregory Edward Jacobs, known professionally as Shock G, was an American musician, rapper, and lead vocalist for the hip hop group Digital Underground has passed away, and man has 2021 just not sucked? It’s now taken now 3 icons, and with just recently losing Black Rob, and DMX I thought things would calm down, and we wouldn’t endure more loses in 2021 but man this one again another punch to the gut as yet another rap icon who helped shape my generation of hip hop fans is gone too soon.

Shock G who again was responsible with Money B for rap group "Digital Underground" which spawned “The Humpty Dance” performed by Shock G as Humpty Hump. He also was on 2Pac’s breakthrough single “I Get Around”, and co-producer of 2Pac’s debut album 2Pacalypse and now has left the world for the next level of our spiritual evolution. He now joins Tupac and others who have since passed away. I’ve been a long time fan of both his, and Money B the head honcho of Digital Underground (who I have the honor of knowing and calling a friend.) Even got to work with Money B on an artist website he had for a while, and met him thanks to my friend Mike "Outtasite" Singleton who I was an old co-host & Producer of his on his podcast show. "Outtasite Radio" which ran for two years on the networks I'm still currently on. PSN RADIO & SoFloRadio.

This news comes as shocking as any, and sad as you can imagine. I remember as a kid watching them on the film “Nothing but Trouble” and loved the song in that movie so much I became an instant fan… This lead to my following another artist who was in the crew with them, and you might know this guys name he was called um……. Oh yea! Tupac Shakur! The thing is without Digital Underground I can’t say we would have met Tupac when we did, and how we did, and he would have gone to become the icon, and face of a generation for minorities in America.

Now while that song is dope Digital Underground will always be best known for this! The Humpty Dance! Let’s be real this is an iconic gimmick. Shock G played both himself, and the iconic “Humpty Hump” and this song here is one of hip hop’s all time classic tracks.

As “Rackadelic” he illustrated album covers and provided art direction; as the “Piano Man” he contributed keyboard tracks and music production. His main persona “Shock G” utilized a more natural voice, while he altered his voice to become “Humpty Hump,” an iconic character with an exaggerated buffoon persona, colorful clothes, and a Groucho glasses-and-nose disguise. He used a nasal voice for the character Humpty. At most public appearances, Jacobs would show up as one person or the other, but at live shows and video shoots he would use a stand-in or camera tricks to maintain the illusion. A fictional biography was constructed for Humpty, the story being that Edward Ellington Humphrey III, former lead singer of “Smooth Eddie and the Humpers,” had become a rapper after burning his nose in a kitchen accident with a deep-fryer (the story was even told by Casey Kasem himself on his then countdown show Casey’s Top 40). Jacobs also sometimes performed as other characters including MC Blowfish, Icey-Michael Boston, The Computer Woman, ButtaFly, and Peanut Hakeem.

Shock G’s TV appearances include Showtime at the Apollo in 1992, several The Arsenio Hall Show performances between 1990 and 1994, and several live MTV performances, including MTV Spring Break 1990 in Daytona Beach, Yo MTV Raps (performing live with Ed Lover and Doctor Dré) in 1991, Club MTV Live (with Downtown Julie Brown) in 1992, and MTV Jams in 1994. Most of these consisted of music performances with either Digital Underground or 2Pac, however, on an episode of the 1991 sitcom Drexell’s Class Jacobs played a small acting role as a furnace repairman. Within the show’s story, the title character, Otis Drexell, insists that the furnace repairman looks exactly like Humpty Hump, but both himself and his coworker (Jason Priestley), have never heard of any such hip-hop artist, especially not one with such a ridiculous name. The episode ends with a live performance of Digital Underground’s “No Nose Job” on a cruise ship full of Sports Illustrated swimsuit models, which is presented as a scene from one of Mr. Drexell’s dreams.

With his Digital Underground band members, Jacobs appeared in the Dan Aykroyd directed comedy Nothing but Trouble appearing as both Shock-G and Humpty Hump. The group makes a cameo music performance, as well as play a small character role in the film as themselves. Since then, Jacobs has appeared in a handful of music documentaries, including Thug Angel: Life of an Outlaw (2000) about Tupac Shakur, and Parliament Funkadelic: One Nation Under a Groove (1996) about George Clinton & P-Funk, both of which received heavy TV rotation, and both of which relied heavily on Jacobs’ commentary.

On June 24, 2011, Shock G was featured on an episode of the podcast “You Had To Be There” with comedians Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer.

Production, solo work, and miscellaneous

In addition to his work with Digital Underground, Shock G found moderate success as a solo artist and music producer. In 1993, Shock G produced Tupac Shakur‘s breakthrough platinum single “I Get Around” as well as guest starred on the single and music video, and went on to produce Tupac’s “So Many Tears” from his multi-platinum 1995 album Me Against the World. Tupac’s first published work was while still a member of Digital Underground when he appeared on the 1991 song and video “Same Song”, which also appeared in the Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd and Demi Moore film Nothing but Trouble. Shock co-produced Tupac’s debut album 2Pacalypse Now. Shock G appeared as a producer and guest artist on fellow Oakland-based rap group The Luniz platinum debut release Operation Stackola in 1995, also appearing as a guest emcee in the “I Got 5 on It” Bay Ballers Remix and video.

In 1996 the Wayans brothers‘ film Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood featured the Shock-G song “We Got More”. The song, which featured Oakland rappers Luniz was used for three different scenes in the film, and is featured in two different places on the soundtrack, making it the only song to appear twice on one soundtrack. In 1998, Prince included the Shock G produced “Love Sign” on his triple-CD Crystal Ball album. Shock G has toured and performed on stage with George Clinton and P-Funk including a guest performance with Clinton at Woodstock 1999.

In 2003, Shock G produced the single “Risky Business” for Los Angeles underground artist Murs, and also appeared in the video, as himself and as Humpty Hump. Murs performed this song live with Shock G at the Paid Dues festival, and also featured him as his stage DJ/music conductor on a 2-month extensive Definitive Jux label U.S. and Canada tour. On January 20, 2009, Shock G’s single “Cherry Flava’d Email” was renamed and released as a special edition called “Cherry Flava’d Election” to commemorate the inauguration of President Barack Obama.

Black Rob Dead at 52

Damn we just lost DMX, and now Robert Ross, the rap artist known as Black Rob, has also died. He had been sick but sadly he was lost yesterday (April 17) at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, The New York Times reports. The cause of death was cardiac arrest, as Ross’ friend Mark Curry told the Times. He added that Ross was dealing with a number of health issues prior to his death, including lupus, kidney failure, diabetes, and multiple strokes. Ross was 52 years old.

The former Bad Boy MC is best known for his 2000 mega hit track “Whoa” and like I mentioned about losing DMX recently Rob also shared a video shot during a hospital stay, in which he paid tribute to the late DMX. At the time of his death.

Ross began rapping when he was a child and formed his first group the Schizophrenics, when he was in his early 20’s. He spent a small jail stint in the late ’80s before hooking up with Bad Boy Records the following decade. Though his star rose as he contributed verses to a number of the label’s other artists in the ’90’s, Ross wouldn’t get his time in the spotlight until 2000, when his debut Life Story was finally released.

Life Story and its hit single “Whoa!” would help resuscitate Bad Boy for a brief period, and Ross would later appear on the hit P. Diddy single “Bad Boys for Life” in 2001. Life Story hit No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and would go on to be certified platinum, though subsequent Black Rob releases would fail to chart as highly. He later signed to Duck Down for his third album Game Tested, Streets Approved in 2011.

Ross suffered a stroke prior to the release of his fourth and final album Genuine Article in 2015.
