Fatman Scoop passes away! RIP

Damn this is some sad news here as Rapper Isaac Freeman III, aka Fatman Scoop, has died after the iconic musician collapsed onstage Friday night. This according to Scoop's tour manager who posted, "I am honestly lost for words… You took me all over the world and had me performing alongside you on some of the biggest and greatest stages on this planet, the things you taught me have truely made me the man I am today. Thank you so much, I love you x."
The Reminisce Festival, where Fatman Scoop was set to perform Sept. 7 also posted to Instagram saying, "It is with the deepest sorrow that we at Reminisce have received the devastating news of the tragic passing of the legendary Isaac Freeman III, known to us all as Fatman Scoop. This loss has left us all heartbroken."
TMZ broke the news that the legendary hip hop hype man was performing at Town Center Park in Hamden, CT when he appeared to suffer a medical emergency. Horrifying video showed Scoop collapse mid-performance. Following his collapse and being rushed to the hospital, Hamden Mayor Lauren Garrett asked fans to "please keep him in your thoughts and prayers."

Our deepest condolences to his family, fans and the rap industry for this loss. He was a true great... RIP

University Returning 'Diddy'' $1 Million

On June 7, 2024, Howard University's board of trustees unanimously voted to refund Sean "Diddy" Combs' $1 million donation to the school. The university also revoked Combs' honorary degree, which he received in 2014, and terminated his scholarship fund. These actions were taken in response to a video of Combs attacking his ex-girlfriend and multiple sexual misconduct allegations against him, which he has denied.

Diddy or the Diddler as we call him now has been a scumbag for many years, and so we're not shocked at how all this stuff is now coming out on Diddler here but to be honest I couldn't have expected how quickly his entire world is crumbling down around him. I never wish harm on anyone but with this guy hey. He has shit his own bed. He beat women, groomed kids, and possibly raped both underage girls but boys. Including Justin Bieber.

Tupac dissed on A Newly Surfaced Record by NAS That’s Just Over 25 Years Old

Well it’s like pac said “They talk shit when I’m gone cause they fear me in the physical form… I’m Troublesome.” Now More than 25 years later which is as long as 2pac lived, Nas and Tupac were entwined in a short-lived hip-hop beef which blew up due to the 2PAC & B.i.G Beef. It began in 1996, when Nas released his second album, It Was WrittenIt featured “The Message,” a track on which Tupac believed he was dissed. Tupac later released “Against All Odds,” with his own shots at Nas. But before they patched things up, Tupac was tragically killed in a shooting.

Soy 25 years after their beef came to an end, Vibe reports that an unreleased record by Nas has leaked, and it features him taking strong shots at the late rapper. His attacks arrive halfway through the song’s first verse. “From tube-socks in Timbs to blue rocks and Benz / Who got the ends, the type of n***a 2Pac pretends,” Nas raps. “To all n****s who shine, guess who got revenge / I won’t showboat, my flow choke you.” This marks the first time fans hear Nas directly, unambiguously diss Tupac on a record.

Last summer, Nas spoke about the moment Tupac confronted him about the alleged (though not confirmed) diss on “The Message” during an interview on Ebro In The Morning. Nas explained that he thought I was dissing him on the song ‘The Message,’ and I heard he was dissing me at clubs,” the rapper revealed. “He was like ‘Yo Nas, we brothers, man. We not supposed to go through this.’ And I’m like, that’s what I’m saying.” He added, “We had a plan to squash it in Vegas. So I was out there when he was in the hospital, praying for him to come through. Rest in peace.”

While the lyrics are clever it just shows that NAS didn’t mean anything said in that and it was all rhymes because he quickly was able to end their feud, and was at the hospital as 2Pac passed in 1996.

In his reply to NAS Pac has this track which was recorded but never released, and it’s part of the music still in the vault from the recordings Tupac has that well have yet to be on an official cd release. This track is fire, and I could see with the right production it could be mixed into at least 2 tracks with other rappers banging on it to fill out a new Tupac cd. Perhaps Tha Outlawz might want to get this on their future cds? OR maybe Amaru Records will put that idea on a future pac cd who knows.

TI = TOP INFORMANT? 50Cent think so & so do I!

T.I. wants to make one thing abundantly clear he’s no snitch. Just a TOP INFORMANT for Keisha Lance Bottoms his homegurl from when they was kids! Remember T.I once got arrested and face a long jail sentence? Well look he grew up with the Mayor! Think about it, and connect the dots. But if that’s not enough to make you think the a Crime Stoppers endorsement he once appeared in has now resurfaced, and the Tip addressed recurring snitch allegations when a commenter interjected a lengthy convo he was having on Instagram Live. Raising his voice to vein-popping levels as he spoke, the Atlanta rapper, and crime stopper was visibly angry at the accusations.“Fuck you and your life, nigga,” he told the person who commented. “You see a snitch nigga, slap him when you see him. Knock his nose off. So nigga next time I’m out instead of asking for a picture like a little hoe ass nigga, nigga come on knock my muthafucking nose out if you think I’m a snitch nigga. Nigga come on, nigga quit smiling in my face tryna get in my fucking section.”

He went on to reiterate he’s never given any information to authorities… Liar we all know the truth but he went on to say that “Don’t play with my muthafucking name nigga,” Tip said. “I’m the muthafucking Kang nigga, and never gave no muthafucking information to get anybody in no muthafucking trouble nan time with no police nigga. If I am working with a police, it’ll be to get him to shoot you nigga. Fuck is you talking about?” How about Keisha Lance Bottoms? You know The MAYOR you fucking grew up with?

Back in December, The Game and Blueface’s manager Wack 100 referenced the Crime Stoppers clip to call Tip a snitch in a seemingly random Instagram post. He also referenced T.I.’s one-year sentence after being hit with gun charges in 2007, insinuating he had to have snitched to have received such a short amount of time. “BEFORE THERE WAS A 69 there was a TI-#ALEGEND,” Wack wrote. “@troubleman31 YOU GOT MY LINE…. IM NOT TO BE PLAYED WITH MIND YA BIDNESS …. WACK GIVES NO FUCKS I AM NOT A RAPPER #YA65395 #J49170 #West. ONLY LEGENDS GET 12 MONTHS FOR 5000 pills and 25 CHOPPAS NOW BLOG THAT.”

Tip responded the same day, inviting Wack and anyone else to view his paperwork and see he’s no snitch. “Until it’s in my face it’s fake,” Tip wrote in the caption. “This Social Media shit get Weird af. However…My paperwork clean & presentable for any and all to pull up and see… IN REAL LIFE so…. #AintNoBackAndForth #UWaaayTooOldForThisSir & #ImWaaayTooRich.”

Despite the persistence of the snitching accusations, no paperwork has ever surfaced to prove T.I. actually did. In fact, Tip’s been outspoken against snitches and even got rid of an artist from his Grand Hustle label after learning the rapper was a DEA informant. Alfamega signed with T.I. in the mid-2000s and on the surface appeared to bring street cred with him. Tip gave the Atlanta-bred rapper a high profile showcase on the 2007 single “Hurt” with Busta Rhymes, but everything came crashing down at the end of the decade. In 2009, The Smoking Gun exposed Alfa for working with law enforcement after being sentenced to 110 months behind bars for a federal gun charges in September 1995. T.I. reacted swiftly, dropping Alfamega from Grand Hustle days later. He explained his decision in an interview on Atlanta radio station Hot 107.9.

“Even though all our artists and employees are asked by us to be honest and open about their past history, at no time did Alfa disclose to me or Grand Hustle what has now appeared in the media,” he said. “He essentially deceived us by failing to fully disclose the truth about his past, and there is no place in our organization for dishonest and misleading behavior.” Tip noted, “As I have always said, you must take responsibility for your own actions. We at Grand Hustle can not support or condone the blaming of others for our own mistakes. I hope and pray to God, bless his savings plans, but I don’t foresee me or my company playing a role in his personal or professional business.” A year later, T.I. briefly addressed Alfamega’s departure in a chat with DJ Envy. But rivals such as the late Shawty Lo continued to hold the embarrassing moment over his head in spite of Tip essentially ending Alfa’s career.

Aflamega proved to be a stain on T.I.’s track record, but he’s been plagued with his own allegations of snitching stemming from his 2007 arrest for attempting to buy machine guns and ammo from undercover agents. He agreed to a plea deal in 2008, getting a lighter sentence despite facing up to 10 years in prison. He was ultimately sentenced to 366 days prison behind bars in 2009 but got out early on good behavior. The aforementioned 50 notably referenced T.I.’s sentencing on the 2008 G-Unit song “You So Tough.” He rapped, “What’s today’s mathematics? Shit ain’t adding up/Get knocked with 10 machine guns, only get 12 months/Oooh weee, don’t talk to me, you talk to him, you talking to them/I got the best lawyers money can buy/They said they would’ve got me 10, or maybe nine/I said, ‘How do you explain how homie breeze?’/They said keep ya mouth shut or you eat the cheese.”

This seemingly generous plea deal resulted in the snitching allegations against Tip, which have been promoted by the likes of Spider Loc and Wack 100. But T.I. has insisted he never snitched, pointing to inmates approving of him after checking his paperwork in prison. “I’ve always been in [general population],” he said on Hot 97 in 2012. “All the time. I turned in my paperwork. When you turn in your paperwork, it’s called a paperwork party. They look at it on the yard. Everybody get to observe it and whatnot. They know exactly what to look for.”

He added, “Everybody wants to believe that because if they would have got caught in them circumstances, that’s what would’ve happened to them. They would’ve done it. I stood silent. I could say with a clear conscience and a pure heart, I’ve never ever had to tell anything on anybody.”

Even with the lack of proof and T.I.’s consistent denials, he hasn’t been able to completely shake the snitching accusations. Just a few days ago, he became enraged when a social media commenter brought them up again during an Instagram livestream.

“Fuck you and your life, nigga,” he told the person. “You see a snitch nigga, slap him when you see him. Knock his nose off. So nigga next time I’m out instead of asking for a picture like a little hoe ass nigga, nigga come on knock my muthafucking nose out if you think I’m a snitch nigga. Nigga come on; nigga quit smiling in my face tryna get in my fucking section.” He continued, “Don’t play with my muthafucking name, nigga. I’m the muthafucking King, nigga, and never gave no muthafucking information to get anybody in no muthafucking trouble nan time with no police nigga. If I am working with police, it’ll be to get him to shoot you nigga. Fuck is you talking about?” 50 providing a signal boost to the old Crime Stoppers video won’t make things any easier, putting T.I. back on the defensive. However, a lot of Hip Hop fans have shown they don’t care about snitching. Allegations against Gunna quickly fell by the wayside and the controversial Tekashi 6ix9ine has experienced major success despite testifying against Nine Trey Gangsta Blood members in court. But T.I. is cut from a different cloth. One only needs to refer back to his Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head cut “Sorry” as an example of his outlook: “Switch the flow up ’cause these niggas be snitching so much/I promise all they missing’s a badge, coffee, and donut/Go to jail, so what? Never see my integrity perish/That ain’t the Harris’ way, study my pedigree.” Those words show why the allegations offend T.I. so much. Yet by challenging 50 to a battle, he’s provoked someone willing to pour gasoline on the brewing fire.
