Sidney Raymond Eudy has passed away! RIP

The name Sidney Raymond Eudy might not ring a bell to some but those who watched American professional wrestling in the 80's and 90's will never forget this man and to those who will know him by the in ring name which he's best known as I'm talking about the one and only "Sid Vicious", aka "Sycho Sid", "Sid Justice", his tenures in the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling we're iconic for multiple reasons. Him prime really was during the WWF now known as WWE when he was am A level star for sometime and even had matches with icons like Hulk Hogan.

SID was a six-time world champion, having won the WWF Championship twice, the WCW World Heavyweight Championship twice, and the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship twice. In addition to world title success, Eudy held the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship once, among other accolades. During his tenures with the WWF and WCW, Eudy headlined multiple pay-per-views for both organizations, main-eventing WrestleMania VIII and WrestleMania 13 in 1992 and 1997 respectively as well as Starrcade in 2000.

Also he entered wrestling after an encounter with Randy Macho Man Savage and his brother Lanny Poffo. After being trained by Tojo Yamamoto, SID made his debut as he teamed with Austin Idol and wrestled the team of Nick Bockwinkel and Jerry Lawler. He then adopted the masked wrestler persona known as Lord Humongous. He began his career in Continental Championship Wrestling (CCW) in 1987, under a mask and the name Lord Humungous. On Christmas Day 1987 he won the NWA Southeastern Heavyweight Championship (Northern Division), going on to be the final titleholder. Later he turned fan favorite after rekindling a (kayfabe) childhood friendship with Shane Douglas, resulting in the two forming a tag team and capturing the NWA Southeastern Tag Team Championship.

He also competed in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where he challenged Tatsumi Fujinami for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship under the name Vicious Warrior, but was unable to win the title. SID then made a very brief stint in World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW), where he adopted one of his most notable ring names: Sid Vicious, which he took from the punk rock musician of the same name who played bass for the Sex Pistols.

When he did return to WCW he came back as a challenger for Scott Steiner's WCW World Heavyweight Championship, but Sid failed to defeat Steiner in their title match at Starrcade. On January 14, 2001, at the Sin pay-per-view in Indianapolis at Conseco Fieldhouse (now Gainbridge Fieldhouse), Sid faced Steiner, Jeff Jarrett and Road Warrior Animal in a Four Corners match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. During the match, he suffered a near career-ending injury. WCW executive John Laurinaitis allegedly felt that SID needed to broaden his arsenal of wrestling moves and suggested that he try an aerial maneuver, despite his "unwillingness".

SID felt it unnecessary for a wrestler of his size and type to do high spots and did not feel comfortable doing them. During the match, Eudy suffered a leg fracture following his leap from the second turnbuckle in an attempted big boot on Steiner. This had him awkwardly landing with all his weight on one foot while kicking with the other, severely fracturing the leg on which he landed. SID broke his left leg in half, snapping both the tibia and fibula, with at least one of the bones breaking through the skin and rotating his foot without his input at 90 degrees anti-clockwise. The fracture was too graphic for many television stations to re-air, although it was shown on the following Nitro.

The injury put Sid out of action indefinitely, and he pondered retiring from wrestling for good: "I had about a year left on my contract, and I was thinking back then prior to hurting my leg what was I going to do as far as wrapping up my career. The only thing I really wanted to do was ideally go out in a big pay-per-view, like a WrestleMania or something like that main event, leave like that, and not come back again. It would really be the retirement match". A 17-inch (43 cm) rod was placed in his leg during the two-hour surgery. For a while, Eudy used a cane to walk. Sid later sued WCW, claiming that he was made to jump off the second rope against his objections.

The injury forced a plot change in the SuperBrawl Revenge event. The main event was supposed to be Kevin Nash, Diamond Dallas Page, and Sid against Scott Steiner, Jeff Jarrett, and Road Warrior Animal but was rewritten as Kevin Nash versus Scott Steiner...

I'd like to say he was a true legend and his time in the ring was one for the ages. Shame what happened to him with the leg injury but he will always be remembered. We extend our condolences to his family on the loss, and to fans of his world wide never forget the name SID VICIOUS!

Remembering The Iron Sheik former Wrestling World Champ... 03-15-42 / 06-07-2023 - REST IN PEACE!

Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri, better known by his ring name The Iron Sheik... He was Born March 15, 1942 in Damghan, Semnan Province, Iran Died June 7, 2023 (aged 81) The Iron Sheik, was an Iranian-American professional wrestler, amateur wrestler, and actor. He was the only Iranian champion in WWE history, having won the WWF World Heavyweight Championship in 1983. Growing up in the 80s and 90s he was often on tv as Champ and his rival with Sargent Slaughter, and Hulk Hogan are the stuff of Wrestling legend. One of the best wrestlers of his day, and one of the best heels ever in the pro entertainment world.

He grew up in a working-class family which had little money and no running water. Although his passport read March 15, he celebrated his birthday on September 9 due to his family alternating between the Gregorian calendar and the Solar Hijri calendar. In his youth, he idolized Iranian Olympic Gold-Medalist wrestler Gholamreza Takhti, and he subsequently made a name for himself as an amateur wrestler; he also worked as a bodyguard for Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and his family for several years.

The Iron Sheik was also an actor and he made his film debut in The Tale of the 3 Mohammads in 2005. He then appeared alongside Daniel Baldwin and Corey Feldman in Operation Belvis Bash in 2011. Sheik also made an appearance on the Canadian show Kenny vs. Spenny on the "Who is a better pro wrestler?" episode where he attempted to sodomize a naked Spenny with a beer bottle. He also appeared in Maz Jobrani's 2009 stand-up comedy special Brown & Friendly. The Sheik made an appearance as himself in Robot Chicken, as well as The Eric Andrรฉ Show on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. In 2014, The Iron Sheik acted in a documentary about his life titled "The Sheik."

Vaziri was a Shia Muslim and a soldier in the Imperial Iranian Army. He married American Caryl J. Peterson on March 21, 1976; the best man at the wedding was "Mean" Gene Okerlund (whom the Sheik often referred to as "Gene Mean" in his broken English). He has two living daughters as well as five grandchildren. His eldest daughter Marissa was murdered by her boyfriend Charles Warren Reynolds in May 2003 at the age of 26. Reynolds was taken into custody and later convicted of the crime. Reynolds himself died on May 31, 2016.

Despite promising to repair his family, Vaziri was unable to successfully quit drugs following Marissa's death. In 2005, the family believed Vaziri was a danger to himself and others and forced him to enter rehabilitation; an employee allegedly snuck in cocaine for him. In 2007, Peterson walked out on Vaziri after several failed attempts to make him quit drugs. She returned two years later on the condition that Vaziri sever ties with a friend who helped him acquire them. In 2013, Vaziri said he had been off cocaine for four years.

In August 2013, Iron Sheik's managers Page and Jian Magen crowdsourced $40,441 to write, direct and produce a documentary, Iranian Legend: The Iron Sheik Story. Originally, the documentary was scheduled for a 2008 release under the title Iron Sheik: From A to Z. Sheik's documentary was released in 2014 under the title The Sheik. On November 6, Vaziri challenged the then Mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford, to an arm wrestling match at his office.

Starting in the late 2000s, Vaziri became known for his Twitter account, which features violent, profanity-ridden Tweets denouncing various pop culture events. He did not write the Tweets himself; his managers, Jian and Page Magen, handled the account. Vaziri died at his home in Fayetteville, Georgia, on June 7, 2023, at the age of 81. As a life long fan I hope he's now resting in peace, and my condolences to his family for the loss of the legend, and Icon. RIP...

Scott Hall has passed away.......... RIP

Say goodbye to the badguy chico! One of the biggest icons in sports entertainment has left us for good… As most know and have known for days Scott Oliver Hall was an American professional wrestler. He was best known for his tenures with the World Wrestling Federation under the ring name Razor Ramon and with World Championship Wrestling under his real name. Hall began his career in 1984, before rising to prominence after signing with the WWF in May 1992, assuming the name Razor Ramon. This is where he truly began to make his mark on the sports entertainment industry.

For a guy who looks like he stepped out of the pages of a comic book he who had an ideal look for say Marvel Comics “The Punisher” or some comic book character chose Pro Wrestling as his career. With the help of the icon Hulk Hogan, and his best friend Kevin Nash they took over the company of WCW as the nWo. The trio formed what would become the biggest thing EVER in the world of pro wrestling. This is when they became “The nWo” and soon the fun times started.

Scott Hall, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer and a founding member of the New World Order, died at the age of 63 on Monday. The pro wrestling icon suffered three heart attacks from hip surgery complications over the weekend and was taken off life support.

WWE announced the news to open “Monday Night Raw” — a show Hall appeared on the first episode of in 1993 as Razor Ramon — and wrestler Kevin Owens started the show with Hall’s signature catchphrase” “Hey yo.”

The company also aired a video remembering Hall’s legendary career in both WWE and WCW. It was the start of a flow of tributes that poured out of every corner of the industry to remember one of the its all-time greats and influential figures. “The WWE family will forever remember Scott Hall as a gifted entertainer and 2-time WWE Hall of Famer, a loving father and a dear friend.” Tweeted out the WWE reps… Words can’t do him justice because as great as his career was he was very underrated, unappreciated, and under used in a proper way.

Over the years they spoke more about his battles with drugs, and booze and not enough about the man, and what he could do. A Sad part of the bloody world of “pro wrestling” and one he often fell victim too. While one can also say he was an icon, and part of the greatest storyline ever put together. The nWo… With that said REST In PEACE to you sir, and go enjoy eternity with the other greats the sport has lost over the years in heaven.

The Rock and His Family Test Positive for Coronavirus

After he endorsed the devil’s uncle Sleepy Joe Biden Dwayne Johnson has revealed he has tested positive for COVID-19 along with his wife, Lauren, and their two daughters. The Hollywood superstar confirmed his diagnosis with a video posted to Instagram, opening the video by stating that the illness has been very difficult for the Johnson family.

Fortunately, the cRock appears to be heading towards a full recovery, though the ex WWE wrestler sympathizes with others who’ve been diagnosed, as so many haven’t been so lucky with their own medical battles.

“I could tell you that this has been one of the  most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure has a family, and for me personally as well,” Johnson says in the Instagram video. “My No. 1 priority is to always protect my family and my loved ones … And I wish it was only me who tested positive, but it wasn’t. It was my entire family, so this one was a real kick in the gut.

But, I am happy to tell you guys that we, as a family, are good. We are on the other end of it. We are on the other side. We are no longer contagious.”

No more sports for now!

One day ago The NBA suspended the 2019-20 season after a Utah Jazz player, reportedly Rudy Gobert, tested positive for COVID-19. Games in progress on the night of March 11 will be completed. The league postpone Wednesday’s game between the Thunder and the Jazz.

The new XFL also has closed down for now on it’s first year also, March Madness is canceled, and now word comes out in a form of statement that MLB also will follow and they have shut down due to the CoronaVirus.

Opening Day delayed at least 2 weeks; Spring Training games cancelled…

All this and Bernie Sanders still plans on continuing on both his failing campaign, and slandering the President. You know when Trump closed the flights from China, and people called him a racist? Does he still look like a racist to you? I know this looks bad when all these leagues shut down but a lot of what’s happening is being over blown. This is bad no doubt! But people need to get a grip, and don’t lose your minds. We will get past this virus folks… All these leagues closing down will also mean a loss of Billions to the economy which is not good. I still hold out hope that April they have a vaccine and we can all get back to normal.

But next time LeBron or anyone wants to praise CHINA! Kick them in the CHIN! Like the last name…
