Trump posted National guard member Sarah Beckstrom has died after shooting in Washington DC

Sad news on Turkey day but one of the National Guard members has passed away and reported it was "Sarah Beckstrom" while the other member of the guards, Andrew Wolfe, is still fighting for his life, according to president Donald Trump. Sarah Beckstrom, one of the national guard troops shot in Washington DC on Wednesday, has died, Donald Trump said on Thursday. “Sarah Beckstrom of West Virginia, one of the guardsmen that we’re talking about, highly respected, young, magnificent person … She’s just passed away. She’s no longer with us,” Trump said in his first live remarks since the shooting.

Beckstrom, 20, was one of two members of the national guards shot near the White House in a targeted attack. The other member, Andrew Wolfe, 24, is still fighting for his life, according to the president. Beckstrom’s father had told the New York Times in a phone call earlier in the day that his daughter was unlikely to recover. “I’m holding her hand right now,” Gary Beckstrom said. “She has a mortal wound. It’s not going to be a recovery.”

Both Beckstrom and Wolfe belonged to the West Virginia National Guard, which deployed hundreds of troops to Washington as part of Trump’s crime-fighting mission in the capital. On Thursday, West Virginia’s governor, Patrick Morrisey, confirmed Beckstrom’s death in a social media post: “Sarah served with courage, extraordinary resolve, and an unwavering sense of duty to her state and to her nation. She answered the call to serve, stepped forward willingly, and carried out her mission with the strength and character that define the very best of the West Virginia National Guard.” Beckstrom, from Webster Springs, West Virginia, entered service in June 2023.

Authorities have identified the suspect in the attack as Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29. Little is known yet about his life, but officials have confirmed that Lakanwal came to the US in September 2021 from his native Afghanistan under a program that gave some Afghans who had worked for the US government entry visas. He was granted asylum in April this year, under the Trump administration, Reuters reported. Lakanwal worked with CIA-backed military units during the US war in Afghanistan, the CIA has confirmed.

A resident of eastern Afghanistan who identified himself as Lakanwal’s cousin told the Associated Press that he was originally from the province of Khost. The cousin, who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals, said Lakanwal had worked in a special Afghan Army unit. A former official from the unit, who also spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation, said Lakanwal was a team leader and his brother was a platoon leader.

The cousin said Lakanwal started out working as a security guard for the unit in 2012, and was later promoted to become a team leader and a GPS specialist. Lakanwal’s former landlord, Kristina Widman, said Lakanwal had been living in Washington state with his wife and five children.

Jeanine Pirro, US attorney for Washington DC, said at a news conference Thursday that Lakanwal drove across the country to launch an “ambush-style” attack with a .357 Smith & Wesson revolver. The suspect shot one guard member twice before turning to fire at the second, Pirro said. Other national guard members at the scene had engaged and neutralized the suspect, she added. Pirro said the suspect would be charged with three counts of assault with intent to kill while armed and possession of a firearm during a crime of violence. However, if the national guard members did not survive, Pirro said, the charges could be increased to murder in the first degree.

The FBI director, Kash Patel, told the news conference the agency is investigating the shooting as an act of terrorism. Law enforcement agencies had executed search warrants at the suspect’s home in Washington and in San Diego, California. Investigators have no information yet on a motive, but believe Lakanwal acted alone. Lakenwal was one of roughly 76,000 Afghans brought to the US through the resettlement program, many of whom worked alongside US troops and diplomats as interpreters and translators.

Supporters have said candidates were extensively vetted. But the initiative has drawn intense criticism from Trump and other Republicans over what they have argued are gaps in the vetting process and the speed of admissions.

Shortly after the shooting, Trump was quick to cast the blame on the Biden administration, accusing it of failing to properly vet migrants from Afghanistan. And he indicated he considered the attack justification for a broad review of asylum and green card applications. “We must now re-examine every single alien who has entered our country from Afghanistan under Biden, and we must take all necessary measures to ensure the removal of any alien from any country who does not belong here, or add benefit to our country,” Trump said on Wednesday. “If they can’t love our country, we don’t want them.”

The leaders of several federal agencies have promised immigration reviews. US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) said that it has stopped processing all immigration requests relating to Afghan nationals. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said it was expanding that directive to include a review of all asylum cases approved under the Biden administration. DHS did not clarify whether it is reviewing all asylum cases from only Afghanistan or from other countries, as well.

The USCIS director, Joseph Edlow, later added he was also directing a “full-scale, rigorous re-examination of every green card for every alien from every country of concern” at Trump’s request. When asked what countries were considered “of concern,” USCIS pointed at Trump’s executive order restricted the entry to the US of nationals of 19 countries. Soon after the shooting, Trump said he would send 500 more National Guard troops to Washington DC. It’s not clear where the additional troops would come from.

As of early November, the D.C. National Guard had the largest number on the ground, with 949 members. In addition to West Virginia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama also had forces in the capital early this month. A federal judge last week ordered an end to the Guard deployment but also put her order on hold for 21 days to allow the Trump administration time to either remove the troops or appeal.

And look who appointed this one? That's right that ICE CREAM Eating Vacation having AutoPen White House sleepy, creepy Joe Biden himself. Or was it Obama? Kamala? Who the hell was even running the show? Who the hell knows.

Either way all signs points to this one being an inside JOB by the Biden team of criminals he let in during his 4 year reign of terror.

The Judges that he, and Obama along with Clinton are the ones causing all this b/s with the lawless behavior they issue being soft of crime, and this happens cause these lunatics have made it so people don't care the crazy people who do this always think they gonna be ok. This Judge there needs to be removed imminently.

Gavin NewScum lost to President Trump in court!

Gavin lost! President Trump has DEFEATED Gavin Newsom in 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. President Trump can now federalize California National Guard to support federal immigration efforts. There you go and so now what will the leftist NewScum do next?

His days of breaking the laws are coming to an end folks, and we all know it but he shall continue to try but check out the document below...
Court case regarding National Guard deployment was based on a lawsuit that began in June 2025 after President Trump federalized thousands of California National Guard troops and deployed them to Los Angeles during immigration protests.

A District Court ruling in September 2025 by Judge Charles Breyer favored Newsom, blocking Trump from using National Guard or other military troops for civilian law enforcement within California, citing a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act.

However, an earlier ruling in June 2025 by a Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals panel favored Trump by blocking a temporary restraining order Newsom had secured, deferring to the president's authority to federalize the Guard.

The Ninth Circuit denied a request for a rehearing of that decision in October 2025, which allowed Trump to maintain federal control over the troops and was seen as a legal win for him. The case is ongoing, with the federal government appealing the September district court ruling.

Court case regarding federal tariffs In October 2025, Newsom and California's Attorney General filed a brief with the Supreme Court requesting the removal of tariffs imposed by President Trump.

This lawsuit challenges the president's authority to unilaterally impose tariffs based on national security, arguing it is illegal and negatively impacts California's economy.

The case is currently paused while awaiting Supreme Court decisions on similar matters, and seriously The Joker known best as NewScum to the world should be thankful that the President Trump is helping him clean up the mess he had done in California. Talk about being ungreatful. But oh yea he hates our country...

But it doesn't end there as this also has Nasty Nancy Pelosi involved so she needs to understand that she is in clear violation of the law as it is 'ILLEGAL AND FUTILE' The Trump administration said and issued a warning on Friday to Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Gov. Gavin Newsom after Pelosi said local police can arrest ICE agents if they break California's laws.

Article VI, Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution, establishes that federal law and the Constitution are superior to state laws and constitutions. It requires state judges to uphold federal law, even if it contradicts state law. So yes It's the other way around as our Federal government can arrest local government for obstruction of federal law.

National Guard to fight LA anti-ICE protests! This is CIVIL WAR!

Tom Homan President Donald Trump’s border czar, said he plans to send the National Guard to Los Angeles to combat protests against ICE that began this weekend following immigration raids in the city. “We are making Los Angeles safer. Mayor Bass should be thanking us. She says they are going to mobilize guess what? We are already mobilizing. We are going to bring the National Guard in tonight,” Homan told Fox News. The first thing needed is the arrest of Mayor Bass who spent her time in Africa on tax money while LA burned down remember this folks? Well this Liberal lesbian moron is back at it, and well after this why and how is she still free to cause more harm?

Tom made the comments after Senior White House adviser Stephen Miller railed against the protests, calling them an “insurrection” against the United States. In response to a post on X showing footage of the mass demonstrations, Miller wrote "An insurrection against the laws and sovereignty of the United States.” It comes after tense confrontations between police and demonstrators took place in LA on Friday, in response to operations by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, who arrested at least 44 people on immigration violations, before starting again on Saturday at a Home Depot in the Paramount section of the city.

LA Police Chief Jim McDonnell said the force had not been involved in the ICE operations. “While the LAPD will continue to have a visible presence in all our communities to ensure public safety, we will not assist or participate in any sort of mass deportations nor will the LAPD try to determine an individual's immigration status,” McDonnell wrote in a statement.

However, Homeland Security Investigations, a branch of ICE, said that 44 people had been administratively arrested on Friday and another was arrested for obstruction. In another tweet, Miller wrote: “Siding with invaders over citizens. If we don’t fix this, we don’t have a country.” Federal agents executed search warrants at three locations, including a warehouse in the fashion district of L.A., after a judge found there was probable cause the employer was using fictitious documents for some of its workers, according to representatives for Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Attorney’s Office. They also need to come to Miami as it's happening here, and it's being done in places like Walmart, Publix and other areas of employment.

Advocates for immigrant rights say people were detained Friday by immigration authorities outside Home Depot stores and a doughnut shop. The Los Angeles Times reported that multiple chants of “Fuera ICE” (ICE, get out) could be heard and flash-bang grenades were set off, though it was unclear who had set them off. One protester lit an entire bag of trash on fire and left in the street just half a block away from the immigration agents on Saturday in Paramount, which is about 82 percent Latino.

Shopping carts from Home Depot and recycling bins were scattered across the boulevard by Saturday afternoon. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said the activity by ICE was meant to “sow terror” in the nation’s second-largest city. She was later accused of siding with “chaos and lawlessness over law enforcement” by ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons. “Make no mistake, ICE will continue to enforce our nation’s immigration laws and arrest criminal illegal aliens,” Lyons said in a statement.

Despite no arrests being made by the LAPD, FBI deputy director Dan Bongino posted on X that they were reviewing evidence from the protests to ensure that “perpetrators are brought to justice.” "The Right to assemble and protest does not include a license to attack law enforcement officers, or to impede and obstruct our lawful immigration operations,” Bongino said. The Department of Homeland Security claimed in a statement that “1,000 rioters surrounded a federal law enforcement building and assaulted ICE law enforcement officers, slashed tires, defaced buildings, and taxpayer funded property.” The DHS has not provided evidence at this time to verify that claim. The Independent has requested comment from the DHS. DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin issued a statement in response to the protests criticizing Democrats and complaining that ICE agents are being likened to the Nazi gestapo.

“From comparisons to the modern-day Nazi gestapo to glorifying rioters, the violent rhetoric of these sanctuary politicians is beyond the pale. This violence against ICE must end,” she said. Homan also complained about backlash directed at ICE agents during his interview on Fox News. The border czar, when asked about Democrats who have called for ICE agents to work unmasked, said he was looking into what could be done to stop their criticism... “We’re asking the DOJ to look at these statements and see if there is something we can do,” Homan said. The protests come at a challenging time for the Trump administration’s hardline anti-immigration agenda. At least two deported individuals migrants from Venezuela and Maryland Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was back to his home of citizenship El Salvador have been returned to the U.S. after judicial orders demanded their return.

Why are these Judges all Liberal of course putting themselves in this position of ruling in favor of gang banger of MS-13 who are here breaking our laws! This Judge needs to be investigated. ICE officials and a group of detainees are currently stuck in Djibouti after a judge’s order demanded the deportation of the detainees be halted. The ICE agents have reportedly turned a shipping container into a makeshift jail, and both the agents and detainees are reportedly suffering from complications tied to the air quality in the area. The law needs to be enforced and Judges who cross the line need to be sent to prison. Why has this not happened is the question, and when will it happen?

Andrew Cuomo proves once again that he's not your friend?

So all the while that New York governor Andrew Cuomo gives daily coronavirus press conferences in front of media and National Guard members at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, which is being turned into a hospital to help fight coronavirus cases he’s also looking to turn down aid in the bill that just passed, and signed by President Trump because he would much rather take the money from our Medicaid.

Yes folks while Cuomo wants to convince you he is the calm, competent leader you need, and want during this outbreak. Something that he’s been able to sell very effectively but like his crazy brother Fredo Cuomo not everything he says should be seen as heroic, and or for our best interest. So while his behavior has been effective, so effective in fact you might miss that even in a pandemic, Cuomo is fighting to protect the rich and impose austerity, including devastating Medicaid cuts, on everyone else at the cost of $6.7 billion in emergency federal aid… Make no mistake folks even in a crisis, Andrew Cuomo is not your friend.

This clown in New York said, and I quote “I try to present unbiased facts. I try to present numbers because people need information. When you get anxious, when you get fearful, when you don’t get the information or you doubt the information, or you think people do not know what they are talking about, or you think you are getting lied to … so I present facts.”

The message is clear. #PresidentCuomo, as a trending hashtag dubbed him, will give you the real facts where President Trump gives ‘alternative” ones; is even-keeled and trustworthy where Trump is mercurial and self-interested; knows what he’s talking about where Trump spouts misinformation and lies.

It’s an effective public relations campaign one so effective that even some of his biggest detractors have almost forget that this is Andrew Cuomo we’re talking about. I mean really he is a clown. Check out this video from The Jimmy Dore Show. He lays it all out perfectly.

Jacobinmag is reporting the following…

Governor 1 percent never fails to live up to his moniker, even in a pandemic. What makes these cuts a new low even for him, though, is that he indicates he’ll go forward with them even at the cost of the $6.7 billion in federal aid.

On March 18, Senator Chuck Schumer issued a triumphant press release claiming credit for the delivery of more than $6 billion of federal emergency funding to his home state, more than any other state. The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) he helped negotiate included a provision that increased the federal government’s contribution to Medicaid expenditures by 6.2 percent. New York usually contributed half of the cost but now only had to pay 43.8 percent, saving it $6.7 billion.

You’d think Cuomo, who has repeatedly blasted the federal government for not directing enough coronavirus relief money to New York, would eagerly claim the aid. But the FFCRA included a provision to prevent states from using the extra money to simply offset their own Medicaid expenditures. The aid comes on the condition that New York not cut Medicaid — exactly what Cuomo is so determined to do.

And so at his first press conference, Governor Cuomo told millions of viewers that “because of a technical issue [in] the way the bill was written, New York State does not qualify for aid. That’s over $6 billion; that is a lot of money. And we need the federal delegation to fix that bill, otherwise New York State gets nothing.”

This was and remains a bald-faced lie. The supposed “technical issue” Cuomo referred to was in fact a deliberate provision to prevent state Medicaid cuts. New York does qualify for the money; all it would take to receive it would be to withdraw the MRT’s proposed cuts from the March 31 budget.

And yet Cuomo indicated that he was unwilling to do so, continuing to emphasize the need for Medicaid “reform” in the following days, insisting on Thursday that “they never fixed that [Families First] bill” and ominously warning that “everyone is going to have to deal with the reality, I can’t protect them from the reality.”

Today, he seemed to think emphatically repeating the lie would make it true: “The federal government gave us zero, nada, niente, zilch,” he declared, leaving him no option but “to dramatically cut our state expenses” because “this is math: you can’t spend that which you don’t have.”

He left unmentioned the possibility of raising taxes on the wealthy to meet the shortfall, treating it as a given that New York’s sick and schoolchildren would shoulder the burden of the pandemic rather than its billionaires and bankers. And he willfully ignored the $6.7 billion of emergency federal aid, knowing that to acknowledge and accept it would require holding off on his prized Medicaid cuts.

Take a minute to appreciate just how cruel the course is that Cuomo’s taking. It would mean ramming through $2.5 billion in cuts to the health care system that millions of the hardest-hit New Yorkers are relying on to get them through the world’s worst health care crisis in a century, while simultaneously depriving the same system of nearly $7 billion in federal aid. Even if he ultimately caves to pressure from advocates and legislators to postpone the Medicaid cuts and take the federal money, the fact that he was prepared to go this route — and that he’ll likely make deep cuts to education spending regardless — should open the eyes of even his most smitten admirers.

Activists in New York have our task set out for us. We must pressure Cuomo to accept the emergency federal Medicaid funding. We must demand that he make billionaires pay in the March 31 budget rather than cutting Medicaid, schools, or other critical services. We must redouble our efforts to pass the single-payer New York Health Act, replacing the profit-driven health care system exacerbating every aspect of the coronavirus crisis.

And we must remind a nation yearning for a strong, capable, trustworthy leader that when the cameras stop rolling, Andrew Cuomo is not on our side.
