Woman set on fire in NY Subway

Man faces murder charges after woman fatally set on fire on New York subway reports are that the man responsible is now in custody but how did this even happen? Well here is what I know so far. The attack took place on the F train at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway station in Brooklyn. A suspect is facing charges of murder after a woman who appeared to be asleep was fatally set on fire on a subway train in New York City.

The woman, who has not been identified, sat motionlessly on board a stationary F train at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway station in Brooklyn at about 7:30 am (12:30 GMT) on Sunday when a man calmly approached her and used a lighter to set her clothes on fire, the New York Police Department said. A suspect identified by police as Sebastian Zapeta was taken into custody hours after the woman died on Sunday morning.

Transit police apprehended the suspect after receiving a report from three high school students who had recognized the man. They had seen images of the suspect taken from surveillance and police body cam video and widely distributed by police. The man got off the car as police officers on patrol in the station rushed to the blaze.

New Yorkers came through again,” said New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, who described the case as “one of the most depraved crimes one person could possibly commit against another human being”. The officers used fire extinguishers to put out the fire and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders, police said.

They added there was no interaction before the attack and they did not believe the two people knew each other.

Footage has emerged showing a horrifying incident in a New York subway train where the woman was burned to death. What’s even more shocking is that bystanders just stood there instead of jumping in to help, people pull out their phones.

Even a cop was there and did nothing Watch the cop just walking back and forth. Watch at your own discretion as it's not easy to watch but this is PURE SOLID NEWS.

Jeff Carter, a spokesman for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said that Zapeta is a 33-year-old Guatemalan citizen who entered the US illegally after being previously removed in 2018. While immigrants commit violent crimes at a lower rate than people born in the US, right-wing politicians have seized on incidents of violent crime by undocumented immigrants to push for mass deportations and more restrictive immigration policies.

Cellphone video published on social media by a horrified onlooker also showed a man sitting on a bench on the platform a few steps away from the burning woman, dressed in a grey hoodie that resembles that worn by the suspect arrested later on Sunday.

Asked whether the man watching from the bench was the attacker, police said that responding officers had no reason to think he was a suspect when they rushed to the woman’s aid. About four million trips are taken each weekday on the city’s subway, where violent crime is relatively rare. As of November, there had been nine homicides reported on the subway in 2024, compared to five in the same period in 2023, according to police data.

Earlier this month, a jury acquitted Daniel Penny of criminally negligent homicide in the death of Jordan Neely, a homeless former Michael Jackson impersonator, on the city’s subway. To me folks and I've thought about this for a long time especially post election. A LOT of these people let in during the Biden time in office we're being allowed in to commit crimes like this.

This is all done thanks to Biden who had these criminals come in and a lot of them were told if they shall lose the election to commit these grusome acts post election to shame the new Trump white house while they try and deport illegals. To me this is all part of the liberals vision to "Build, Back, Worse!"

Rickey Henderson RIP!

Oh wow so this just broke, and it's breaking my soul! I grew up idolizing this man and watching him play while living in California. By far the worlds all time best lead off hitter, and stolen base icon! Not only was he this in Americas MLB but he's considered the greatest at what he did on any continent when it comes to baseball. This man will always be a major icon in the sport. Cannot believe this but. Rickey Nelson Henley Henderson , nicknamed "Man of Steal", played 25 seasons in Major League Baseball for nine teams from when he made his debut in 1979 until he hung up his cleats in 2003 he accumulating 111.1 WAR in his 25 MLB seasons. This including four separate tenures with his original team, the Oakland Athletics.

Rickey is also the all-time leader in runs scored. He was named the American League MVP in 1990 after leading the AL with a 1.016 OPS, 65 stolen bases and 119 runs scored. He also played for the Yankees, Padres, Mets, Mariners, Red Sox, Blue Jays, Angels and Dodgers. But to us all he will always be a member of the Oakland A's during the BASH BROTHERS ERA, and he was the man who did most damage batting 1st than anyone EVER! He is a major factor why they had so much fun in Oakland in the late 80s. Rickey Henderson's wife, Pamela, confirmed her husband's death in a statement.

"A legend on and off the field, Rickey was a devoted son, dad, friend, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a truly humble soul. Rickey lived his life with integrity, and his love for baseball was paramount. Now, Rickey is at peace with the Lord, cherishing the extraordinary moments and achievements he leaves behind," Said Pamela. "For multiple generations of baseball fans, Rickey Henderson was the gold standard of base stealing and leadoff hitting. Rickey was one of the most accomplished and beloved Athletics of all-time," MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement. "He also made an impact with many other clubs during a quarter-century career like no other. Rickey epitomized speed, power and entertainment in setting the tone at the top of the lineup. When we considered new rules for the game in recent years, we had the era of Rickey Henderson in mind.

"Rickey earned universal respect, admiration and awe from sports fans. On behalf of Major League Baseball, I send my deepest condolences to Rickey’s family, his friends and former teammates, A’s fans and baseball fans everywhere." Henderson won two World Series, one with the A's in 1989 and another with Toronto four years later. Henderson became MLB's all-time stolen bases leader May 1, 1991, when he swiped third base in Oakland. He finished with 1,406 in his career, surpassing Lou Brock by nearly 500 bags. Henderson also retired with 2,295 runs scored, 50 more than Ty Cobb. His 3,055 hits are 27th all-time.

His 130 stolen bases in 1982 are the most in the live ball era. He and Vince Coleman are the only players since 1920 to have three seasons of at least 100 stolen bases. Henderson swiped 50-plus bags in 13 seasons, the most ever. The amount of awesome that was his career is unmatched by ANY lead off man in the sport, and will remain so forever I feel. What a true legend...

Rest in PEACE!
