Actor and comedian Rob Schneider reacts to Tulsi Gabbard leaving the Democratic Party, discusses his experiences with cancel culture, and shares his upcoming movie ‘Daddy Daughter Trip.’ Also talks about his time out west living in San Francisco and why he also left the democrats.
This year is the year of the midterm elections and the purge from people who have been in the Democrats party seem to continue as Rob & Tulsi Gabbard aren’t the only longtime liberals who are leaving not just the stare of California but the party in general. Bill Maher recently said it also on the Joe Rogan podcast. The RED WAVE is real folks! November is just but days away…
Another Comedian and ICON Gilbert Gottfried has left us! This year seems like the year we’re losing those who made us all laugh thru the 80s and 90s. He’s the latest to pass away at age 67 and man did I enjoy his work…
Gottfried’s family confirmed his death in a statement on Twitter:
“We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Gilbert Gottfried after a long illness. In addition to being the most iconic voice in comedy, Gilbert was a wonderful husband, brother, friend and father to his two young children. Although today is a sad day for all of us, please keep laughing as loud as possible in Gilbert’s honor.” Although Gottfried’s family said the comedian died of a “long illness,” the exact cause of death has not been made immediately clear. It was reported in 2020 that Gottfried had heart issues, according to TMZ.
Gottfried kicked off his comedy career in the 1970s as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. He also became a standout character on The Cosby Show and Beverly Hills Cop II. Gottfried is also the voice of the Aflac duck and Iago in Aladdin.
The comedy legend is survived by his wife Dara and his two kids, Lily and Max.
WOW January has been horrible for tinsel town as some very well known people have left center stage to go on to the next level of evolution beyond the stars, and this one really hurts. Now I know I say this often as I’m a fan of a lot of these folks but I grew up loving Louie Anderson both in Stand up and his limited acting roles like Coming to America. He’s shown range in his acting most recently winning Emmy awards for a show where he played a woman. He passed away shortly after it was reported that he’d been hospitalized for cancer treatment.
The world has just gotten a little less funny after losing Betty White, and Bob Saget the lord now see’s fit to take another great from his creation here on earth for the biggest show in Heaven. As now comedian Louie Anderson is gone… The news broke by ‘Deadline’ who reports that Anderson died in Las Vegas on Friday morning. The Baskets star had been hospitalized earlier this week to be treated for diffuse large B cell lymphoma, an aggressive form of cancer. He was 68 years old.
Hours prior to his passing, it was clear that the outlook was not so good. Fellow comedian Pauly Shore posted to Twitter, “Attention comedians and The Comedy Store alumni’s. I say this with a heavy heart just left the hospital in Las Vegas where Louie Anderson his sisters and close friend were kind enough to let me say my goodbyes. He’s still with us but keep him in your prayers.”
Born on March 24, 1953, Louie Anderson first appeared on television as a stand-up comic on The Tonight Show in 1984. He also began to appear in movies around with time with small roles in Cloak & Dagger, Quicksilver, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. In 1988, he played McDowell’s employee Maurice in the acclaimed comedy Coming to America with Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall. Last year, Anderson reprised the role for his final movie appearance in the sequel Coming 2 America.
“I can’t say anything except it was the greatest experience,” Anderson later told TMZ of returning for Coming 2 America, prior to the film’s release. “It’s such a great movie. People are going to go crazy for it. I think it’s going to do a billion dollars! Honest to God, I think it’s going to do a billion dollars. It’s such a good script.”
The movie didn’t make a Billion but it was a decent movie, and he was as usual fantastic in it. Louie Anderson spent a few years on The New Hollywood Squares in the 1980s and returned for more game show fun with Hollywood Squares in the late 90s and early 2000s. He also co-created the animated series Life with Louie which was inspired by his childhood. As the voice of himself, Anderson earned the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program. From 1999-2002, Anderson also served as the host of the game show Family Feud.
One of Anderson’s most celebrated roles is that of Christine Baskets on the FX drama Baskets. This role earned Anderson the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy. He was also nominated an additional two times. In 2017, Anderson revisited Family Feud for an appearance on Steve Harvey’s Celebrity Family Feud. He’d also been serving as a regular panelist on the game show Funny You Should Ask. His recent television appearances also include Young Sheldon, Search Party, and Twenties.
Our love, thoughts and prayers go out to those close with Anderson and mourning the loss of the veteran comedian.
Just short of losing the legend that was Betty White another legend is now gone as actor and comedian Bob Saget was found dead at 65 in a Florida hotel room Sunday, according to law enforcement. Detectives who found no signs of foul play or drug use in the “Full House” and Stand up comedians death said that the cause of which is still not known. I was never a fan of the “Full House” show but loved him on “Americas Funniest Home Videos” and his stand up which he was a master at. Known as “Danny Tanner” from the tv show “Full House” to most who knew him he was is considered a “Dirty” comedian when it came to his stand up. Meaning he would use language not known fit for network tv. Check out the special of his below.
He was very very funny, very kind to those who knew him he was very much loved. But most of all he was very underrated due to his TV persona on Full House and so you can imagine how hard it was for him to break away from the “Danny Tanner” role once the show ended. But those who knew him, and those who saw him perform know that he was hilarious, and very much nothing like Danny Tanner. Yes friends the world of comedy has lost another one of it’s best ever. The reports came in as “Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Twitter.
Bob Saget was in the middle of a comedy tour that started in September and was supposed to go through May. He performed in Jacksonville Saturday night:
“Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience,” he tweeted. “Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this shit. Check http://BobSaget.com for my dates in 2022.”
Tributes started pouring in on social media, many remembering his role as Danny Tanner from 1987 to 1995 in the ABC sitcom in which he got the nickname “America’s dad.” He was also a beloved host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” from 1989 to 1997. He played himself in HBO’s “Entourage” and was the narrator’s voice in “How I Met Your Mother.”
Check out some of the folks on Twitter react to his passing… Here are some of the folks who knew him best…
Heartbroken that Bob Saget has died aged 65. We became friends last year, and he kindly filmed an interview for a future episode of my show. He played Danny Tanner in Full House & hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos. A brilliant comedian, and genuinely lovely person. #BobSagetpic.twitter.com/TPcQsf4o8f
Bob Saget was a powerhouse comedian who would make your sides hurt but he was so humble and unassuming about it. He was so gracious to others and so excited and inspired by up-and-coming comedians. He really set a great example of how to be generous and encouraging to newcomers.
I don’t even know what to say about Bob Saget. I loved him and was so lucky to work with someone so funny, soulful and kind. His role on himym was a voice in the future, looking back on all of life’s complexity with a smile, and that’s how I’ll always remember him #RIPBobSaget…
Bob Saget was as lovely a human as he was funny. And to my mind, he was hilarious. We were close friends and I could not have loved him more. pic.twitter.com/TM8r1hzCfO
I know that people lose loved ones, good people, every day. No one gets a pass. But the loss of Bob Saget hits deep. If you didn’t know him, he was kind and dear and cared about people deeply. He was the definition of “a good egg”. Too soon he leaves. #RipBobSaget
I’m again reminded of Norm Macdonald’s brilliant ‘roast’ of Bob Saget as we’ve lost both comedic geniuses in less than four months.pic.twitter.com/nWNs5ky4rb
Comedian Richard Jeni has passed away due to depression, and well friends this is depressing considering how full of life he always seemed. You never knows who is suffering from mental issues.
The official cause of death as reported On March 10, 2007, Jeni was found by his girlfriend Amy Murphy, a weather anchor and reporter for KTTV in Los Angeles, with a .38-caliber Colt Detective Special between his feet and an apparent self-inflicted handgun wound to the head on the bathroom floor in his West Hollywood, California home. Jeni and Murphy had been conversing in bed, discussing breakfast and their plans for the day, when Murphy left to cook breakfast downstairs. After a few minutes, she heard the sound of a gunshot, ran upstairs, discovered Jeni’s condition, and called 9-1-1.
Police and paramedics arrived and transported Jeni to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he died. His family later stated with certainty that the death was a suicide, and that Jeni had recently been diagnosed with “severe clinical depression coupled with fits of psychotic paranoia.” According to the coroner’s report released in June 2007, Jeni had a history of schizophrenia and had been taking antidepressants and a sleeping aid. The report further indicated that his girlfriend heard him talking to himself about a week earlier, saying “just squeeze the trigger.”

On March 12, 2007, Jeni’s death was mentioned on The Tonight Show by Jay Leno, with accompanying footage of Jeni’s last appearance on the show. On March 16, Bill Maher, who had performed with Jeni as a young comic, dedicated the fifth episode of the fifth season of his HBO show, Real Time with Bill Maher, to Jeni and discussed his death on Larry King Live.
