The duo has canceled all upcoming performances and future plans are on hold after Gass made remarks regarding the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump during a July 14 concert in Australia.

The duo, which had been scheduled to perform a sold-out show Oct. 25 at Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo, has also placed all future plans on hold, band member Jack Black said in a statement. Gass said his wish was, “Don’t miss Trump next time,” Relix reported. This was just hours after the attempted assassination of Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania. Which brings me again to ask... Why don't brain dead morons with no talent like this idiot who's ridding the fame of Jack Black to money doesn't just play his part like the monkey he's always been and not insert his hateful words towards a man who did nothing but fight, fight, fight to help SAVE our country from the evil that he supports. After concluding the show, Black is said to have broken with his bandmate of 30 years. Gass’ agent Michael Greene has also since parted ways with the guitarist and co-vocalist, according to Rolling Stone. For this Jack Black will stay on my good grace because had he done anything other than this I would have never watched or supported him or his work ever again. Jack Black released a statement on what was said and he made it clear this was not something he knew would be said. “I was blindsided by what was said at the show on Sunday,” Black said in a statement, released on Instagram. “After much reflection, I no longer feel it is appropriate to continue the Tenacious D tour, and all future creative plans are on hold. I am grateful to the fans for their support and understanding.”
