Ok so Jamie Costa is a certified badass actor who needs to get booked right now in a Robin Williams Bio PIC! Oh my god now as you might remember him from his spot-on Han Solo impersonation a few years ago that went viral online before the “SOLO” movie came out and bombed at the box office. Jamie and Doug Jones did a small fan film and it was excellent!
Jamie also had posted a video on his YouTube channel which featured him as Robin Williams during the passing of Williams in tribute previously to his “SOLO” fan film and that was awesome but this new video is so good folks it can bring you to tears if you’re a big fan of Williams. He’s so spot on! This is set in his Mork & Mindy days and It’s not all jokes here as Costa turns on the drama when Pam Dawber (Sarah Murphree) enters to inform Williams of the death of John Belushi.
Don’t want to ruin it for you so just watch the video below, and leave your comments as to what you think. This was so freaking cool.
While there has yet to be a proper Robins Williams biopic, there have been several documentaries released since his death, including Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind and Robin’s Wish. Robin Williams first played Mork in an episode of Happy Days, and the character proved to be so popular that they gave him his own show with Mork & Mindy. The show was a huge success and rocketed Robin Williams to stardom. The series lasted for four seasons before dwindling ratings caused ABC to cancel it.
Robin Williams had seen John Belushi the day before the Saturday Night Live actor died of a drug overdose as depicted in the clip, and it was a major influence in helping Williams conquer his own drug and alcohol addiction.
“Was it a wake-up call? Oh yeah, on a huge level,” Williams later said “It sobered the shit out of me.“
