While we’re in the middle of a global pandemic where more than 6 million Americans have tested positive for COVID-19 those of us who where in the USA when 911 happened we all remember what a shot to the core this was for us all. Together we did come as a nation of all people, and helped each there like humans. The divide we see today was gone. Even if for just a moment in time. The terror we all felt, and the agony for friends, and loved ones who perished in those buildings or jumped out windows in an effort to try, and not burn alive still haunt us until today.
Anyone who lost a loved one on 911 knows that void, and desire to see justice done. But that justice came at a price of an endless conflict in the middle east, and billions if not trillions of dollars spent in these wars. Times like these it’s good to know our current President has brought a lot of our troops home, and has not got into any major wars in the middle east with anyone, and has commanded the respect from these other countries the previous administrations didn’t have. Sadly this Pandemic is something nobody saw coming, and well here we are.
This year with the virus it’s been prompting community leaders to put in place extra precautions and enhanced safety measures at the annual events. While some communities are moving events online, others are canceling events out of an abundance of caution. Decatur is one of many communities planning/canceling 9/11 ceremonies amid the pandemic.
President Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden are each traveling Friday to Shanksville, Pennsylvania, to honor the nearly 3,000 casualties in the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history on Sept. 11, 2001. Trump will attend a ceremony at the Flight 93 National Memorial, which memorializes the 40 passengers and crew who battled hijackers aboard the United Airlines jet, which crashed without reaching its target of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.. Biden and his wife Jill Biden will travel to New York City to attend the 9/11 Memorial & Museum anniversary commemoration ceremony in the morning and then visit Shanksville in the afternoon. Vice President Mike Pence and second lady Karen Pence will be in New York for the 9/11 museum ceremony and a separate event nearby arranged by the Stephen Stiller Tunnel to Towers Foundation which will feature the reading of the names of 2,977 people killed at the World Trade Center. The 9/11 museum opted out of the reading of the names tradition due to safety concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic.

In the remembrance of 9/11, Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen Pence spoke at a recent 9/11 ceremony In New York. According to the Gateway Pundit, Following their speeches and after the Pence family read a Psalm from the Bible, the crowd unexpectedly began loudly chanting “Four More Years!” and liberal news networks weren’t happy.
