Both Jim Banks & Ice Cube had good ideas guys!

So in a brilliant move Rep. Jim Banks a Republican from Indiana introduced a bill last week to the House that would render those convicted of vandalism and violent looting during a protest ineligible for federal unemployment money, which have been enhanced in the wake of COVID-19. The Support Peaceful Protest Act would also require those convicted to providing restitution for the cost of federal policing in a sum determined by the court. They one I like best is the one from Tennessee who asked for looters, and rioters to lose voting rights, and have mandatory jail time. But in an Aug. 28 press release announcing the resolution, Banks stated:

Antifa thugs are descending on suffering communities, disrupting peaceful protests and leaving violence, looting and vandalism in their wake. They turned Milwaukee, Seattle and Portland into warzones, and now they’re moving the chaos to Kenosha, Wisconsin. Who knows which community is next? Due to enhanced federal benefits, taxpayers are giving wages to jobless rioters that are destroying our communities. We need to cut them off from their funding and make them feel the full financial consequences of their actions.

According to the text of the bill:

In the case of an individual convicted of a Federal offense related to the individual’s conduct at and during the course of a protest with respect to which a Federal law enforcement officer was engaged in policing activity, the court shall, in addition to the penalty for such conviction, order the individual to pay an order of restitution to the appropriate Federal law enforcement agency in an amount that is equal to the cost of such policing activity, as determined by the court.

An individual convicted of a Federal offense related to the individual’s conduct at and during the course of a protest, is ineligible for any Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation under section 2104 of the CARES Act (15 U.S.C. 9023) or any other Federal supplemental unemployment compensation during the COVID–19 public health emergency (as such term is defined in section 2102 of the CARES Act (15 U.S.C. 18 9021).

Banks introduced the bill the same day he denounced an activist’s vulgar harassment of an elderly couple as they were leaving the South Lawn of the White House on the final night of the Republican National Convention (RNC). Calling out House Speaker Nasty Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Banks tweeted, “Hey [Pelosi], these are my constituents. They are good people. If you told these mobs to stop, I have a feeling they would …”

Over the past few days, the area around Lafayette Park, the White House, and Black Lives Matter Plaza has been the scene of tense showdowns between foul-mouthed activists and police, as well as some lawmakers, such as Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Democratic Georgia state Rep. Vernon Jones.

After being accosted in the street as they left the RNC, both Paul and Jones called for federal investigations into the origin of the large groups. “I promise you that at least some of the members and the people who attacked us were not from D.C.,” Paul said. “They flew here on a plane, they’ve all got fresh, new clothes, and they were paid to be here. It is a crime to do that, and it needs to be traced. The FBI needs to investigate, but the only way you can do it is you have to arrest people.” The thing these folks fail to remember is the Mayors are telling cops NOT to arrest them, and often let them go when they are arrested, and these same blue states are letting known criminals who are already behind bars out so they can help do these evil acts. This is part of the deepstate and how they’re trying to take down this nation.

The rapper Ice Cube appeared to partly turn on the Democratic Party over the weekend when he made a video called “What’s in it for the Black community?” In the video, he urged black Americans to make both Democrats and Republicans earn their vote in the 2020 election. The rapper was inspired to make this video after he became skeptical of the messaging at last week’s Democratic National Convention, which included speeches by Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, and Hillary Clinton.

“A lot of people getting up [at the 2020 DNC] talking and everybody really eating it up, throwing their hands in the air like they just don’t care but what I didn’t hear was: what’s in it for us? What’s in it for the Black community? Besides the same old thing we’ve been getting from these parties,” Ice Cube said in the video, which he posted on Saturday. “What’s in it for us, for real?”

“I didn’t hear anybody mention a Contract with Black America, and I don’t know why because its one of the most comprehensive reform documents that have come around in a long time that could really address the problem,” the rapper added. “The way it looks, they don’t really have a problem. Everybody talkin’ about, ‘Get Trump out, get Trump out, get Trump out.’ If you vote, that’s gon’ happen on the first day. So, now what? Trump out, now what? What do we get in the first 100 days? That’s what we’re trying to figure out. What do we actually get that they could give us overnight like that?”

Well ICE Cube the reason all you heard was “Must get Trump OUT!” And nothing more is because they got nothing! No agenda moving forward at all.

Ice Cube created Contract with Black America, a document that calls for a “more perfect union” and a “complete paradigm shift in how we run our institutions and operate our country.”

“Instead of looking for incremental reform, the Contract with Black America tries to address the root causes of racism in our society and develop a roadmap for a comprehensive solution,” the document stated. “Beyond the obvious, we need to focus on the areas of banking and finance, justice, policing, education, Hollywood depictions, as well as a system of reparations. None of these work in isolation, this plan looks at the systemic core of racism as a whole, and only in that way can a true solution be born.”

In his three-minute video, Ice Cube questioned “What do we actually get?”

“They just pulled $3 trillion out their a** and gave it to their friends,” he said of the money allocated in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, also known as the CARES Act. “That’s American taxpayer money. That’s your money that they just gave away.”

“Where’s our f***ing bailout? Where’s the bailout? Not the PPP loan that they didn’t give us, where’s the bailout? I don’t want to hear about deficit, I don’t want to hear about what our generations going to have to pay,” Ice Cube said. “If we don’t have s**t, they ain’t going to have anything to pay nothing.”

“So we gotta start something right now,” the rapper declared. “Democrats don’t seem like they got a plan, Republicans don’t seem like they got a plan for us.”

“So how the hell you gon’ vote for them? Make ’em earn that vote. They can start today,” Ice Cube concluded. “Make they a** earn that vote. Stop playing with these people and maybe they’ll stop playing with you.”

The Democratic Party has long taken minorities for granted, especially the black community. With an increasing number of black Americans seeing the light, leftists should not be surprised if they lose this vote at some point in the not-so-distant future.
